I normally love anything by Ilsa...but this one just didn’t grab me. It was a bit slow. And then once Maverick and Delanie do finally get together I just couldn’t feel any real chemistry. I am still a huge fan of this author. This book was just not my cup of tea.

I enjoyed this story. Sweet and slow. But there were moments when I was frustrated at the slow pace. The male narrator was a bit intense. But I still enjoyed the story.

I have enjoyed this series. The first book was my favorite. But this one just might have taken its place. This story has all the heart and steaminess you could ask for. I fell in love with Lance “Romeo” Romero. And I didn’t think that was possible when we first met him. Great book! Great series!

This book was AWESOME! Hot and yet still had so much heart. I am new to Roxie Noir...but I am now a huge fan!! I will be buying all her books!

I had a hard time liking the male lead in this...Drew. He is kind of wimpy. And he has several chances to stand up for Ash but he doesn’t. And she keeps forgiving him. I was like “At some point she has to get tired of this.”
The story is not terrible. It just wasn’t my favorite either.
But I loved Zachary Webber as the narrator.

I LOVED IT!
Sweet and emotional.
Pulls you in and you can’t help but root for them to make it!
I thought it might be a little icky with him being the teacher and her the student. But it wasn’t at all. Well written!

Great story! Sweet romance. And it was easy to fall for both lead characters from the very beginning!

This is a VERY slow burn. The story is not terrible. And I enjoyed the characters. I’m not a huge fan of romances where the main characters have sex with other people. I know everyone has a past...but this story takes you through some of those relationships. So there is sex with other partners and it takes over half the book for the story to focus on the main couple. Like I said, it’s not a bad story. Just not my cup of tea.
I did enjoy the Scottish accent though! 😁

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned! Another great, heart wrenching and warming story. Now I have to start Book 2 to find out what happens next.
