one of my favorite stories from one of my favorite performers. Would have been perfect but for a ticking sound in the background, not loud enough to ruin everything just enough to be annoying.

One review said too much explicit sex, and I was like great! But there really can be too much of a good thing. Seems like the author was just like oh I haven't talked about sex for a while I'll just add some here.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Wish it had a more realistic time frame, for this little mouse of a girl to become a real badass and heal from the beatings she took would have taken years

Here, together for the first time, are the shorter works of best-selling author Jim Butcher - a compendium of cases that Harry and his cadre of allies managed to close in record time. The tales range from the deadly serious to the absurdly hilarious.

Being a huge paranormal fan, I assumed that I could have skipped this collection having already listened to them in other various anthologies. I am glad I did not, James Marsters is Dresden, and the stories are just so much better in his voice. Plus you get a little insight into each story from Butcher, so worth the credit and now on my favorites list.

I can't imagine why a story in the point of view of a young girl would be narrated by an old lady? As such to spite this being one of my favorite books of all time I unable to listen past the 4th chapter. I usually like stories read by their author but this just didn't work.
