No spoilers here, but my favorite character died in this book. It kept me listening to the very end, but I connected more with this person than any of the other characters, and I was really upset at this Individual’s demise. It had the usual twist at the end which Harlen Coban does so well.

I don’t think Ian did it, but in a bizarre way, this case is the best thing that could have happened to his life. Very well done production .

Dave is always superb but this is his best in years. It kept me guessing till the end, but with James Lee Burke’s novels you don’t really care about the ending , it’s the journey there that’s so enthralling and always beckons you back for another wild ride. Don’t miss.

The author does a great job of slowly revealing detail, leading you in one direction, while saving the knock out punch for the very end

It’s not the intricate plots that make Jim Thompson’s novels so compelling- it’s his characterization. A motley assortment of down and outers, high society matrons and ruthless business men make for a roller coaster ride of a read that never disappoints

Kept me mesmerized from start to finish, Holly is a treasure, so is Ralph Anderson and the rest of the crew. I hope to see them again in future novels. You can tell that a book is truly good when it’s 18 hours long and you don’t want it to end.
