I regret the time I spent on this book

The Audible narration was annoying. The dialog was poor. Constant t use of "f..." Was out of place from a world war I soldier. ..the "f..." Word wasn't really in people's vocabulary until the 6 0's when it's usage in a classroom was heavily debated because it was considered so obscene. More great dialogue included "shit, shit, shit". Basically it seems like the author has a limited vocabulary and poor research skills. Just a waste of time.

Didn't want it to end

I listened to the audio version and completely became engrossed in the story to the point I didn't want it to end. I love historical fiction especially WWII era and this book takes a different spin on it. It's great to find a book with outcomes you didn't see coming. There are still missing pieces that I wanted to know but are in keeping with all the secrets. Excellent book.I
