Living in a virtual game world sounds like the ultimate dream. Plenty of action, intrigue, and guess who gets to be the big hero? But what happens when that digital reality gets flipped on its head? Bad guys are after your sweet loot, your fancy title is loaded with unrealistic expectations, and achieving such a high level comes with a big fat target on your back. Something has to give, so when a new crusader faction rolls into town, Talon senses an opportunity.

Love this series and this book was amazing. Great storyline and character development. Most of the book, i was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how Talon was going to be able to pull off a win. I hope to see another installment but with how this one ended, it seems to be the last, but it was all tied up nicely so as to not need another.

The party's trek out of Solium and across the lands of Alcatham has left them with only a handful of gold between them. Fortunately, they have drawn near Camnarael, Alcatham's capital, where all manner of quests - and rewards - await. But all is not as expected in the capital.

The magic flames are raging. Blades are melting. Souls are reduced to ashes in the fury of battle. The grand finale of the war for the First Temple is upon us. The last trump cards have been played, the reserves are all exhausted, and even the gods have engaged in the plebeian fight. The universe is on the point of collapse. Broken are the chains that hold the worlds together. The icy waters of the Baltic cool the scorching sands of the Frontier.

was hard to follow as it was quite slow in a couple areas but the entire thing would have been made better with better voices for the main characters or at least for Jake, i know he's supposed to be a computer nerd but giving him an irritating squeaky voice doesn't make for a good audio book
