This book was unfortunately a rehash of every other book on this topic. Nothing
new here except self promotion about how fabulous the author is. If you're looking for something to grow from - this is not the book. I wish I could get a refund I couldn't even finish listening to it.

This book is for people who don't have real problems. She goes through the struggles she endured as catastrophic when her children grew up and left home etc. If you are dealing with something intense and as a result you attempt to find direction from this book you may just end up feeling resentful that this woman has never really had any true life experience worth writing about.

She also appears to be obsessed with Ram Dass, who she name drops often as being one of her friends: Ram Dass is an incredible teacher and thinker and its definitely worth listening to any of his material, he has the same command as Eckhart Tolle. Ram Dass has true and unique wisdom. Elizabeth Lesser is like listening to the neighbour next door who doesn't really have anything to whinge about; by comparison.

Humanity now, perhaps more than in any previous time, has an opportunity to create a new, saner, more loving world. This will involve a radical inner leap from the current egoic consciousness to an entirely new one. In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are and learn to live and breathe freely.

The research is definitive and sobering: rich people who win the lottery stay rich. That's their normal state. Middle-class people who win the lottery soon end up back in the middle class, because that's their normal state. And those who are broke and win the lottery quickly return to being broke. The amount of money you have (or don't have) reflects who you are. If you think broke, you'll always come back to being broke. And if you think wealthy, you'll always return to wealth.

People - friends, family members, work colleagues, salespeople - lie to us all the time. Daily, hourly, constantly. None of us is immune, and all of us are victims. According to studies by several different researchers, most of us encounter nearly 200 lies a day. Now there’s something we can do about it. Liespotting links three disciplines - facial recognition training, interrogation training, and a comprehensive survey of research in the field - into a specialized body of information developed specifically to help business leaders detect deception....

This is a great book, but it's focus is lying in business and commerce. If your looking for knowledge in personal relationships this book has little information. Her delivery and insights are impressive if your using the information for business. I would buy her next audiobook on personal and everyday relationships if she were to write one, but at this point the techniques are of little value to me as I'm not in the commercial world looking for shonky business people.
