Big fan of Kylie and Erics Narration!! these two amazing narrators have done an amazing job bringing Elder and Pim to life, especially when Eric narrates Elders moodiness or when Kylie is Narrating Pims pain and happiness, they really make us feel as if we are part of the story bringing all these emotions to the surface, making us want even more.. looking forward to listening both of you on the conclusion of this amazing series Millions..

........................

The story of Elder and Pim keeps getting better and more complicated but at the same time more beautiful because finally, we are seeing all the evolution both characters are having after so many burdens, problems, and bad misunderstandings..

*Love was simple. It was life that made it complicated. And I was done waiting for him to figure it out.*

Elder keeps fighting his feelings but not as much as the very beginning of the story, he is more open and understanding now that he knows how it feels not to have Pim by his side.

*I think I fell in love with you the first moment I saw you. When you refused to shake my hand. When you stood naked and daring me to hurt you. When you pushed away my penny for your thoughts.*

*I fell in love with you when you swam with me in the dark. I fell when you shared the storm with me. I fell so many ... times for you, Pimlico, and I don't know how many times I still have to fall.*

Pim has evolved so much, her fears are dissolving slowly but in this book we can see her, bolder and stronger, wanting to defend herself and not staying quiet especially when it comes to Elder.

*But now I was awake and ready to feel everything. And those scraps and stars weren't enough anymore. I wanted planets. I wanted galaxies. I wanted his heart.*

We also get to find more about Pims family and past as well as a few other things about Elder. Pim keeps trying to figure how to be with him without breaking him..

*This was everything I'd been wanting and everything I could never hope to find. This was pure .. love, and I sank to the bottom of it and didn't care if I drowned.*

When I first started this series I didn't know what to expect. I was a little afraid because of a few reviews and the dark part. but I have to say it was very worth it and I'm so glad I finally did even deeper into Peeper's work and Elder and Pim's world

These two really keep growing so much in me, their love, their need, they are definitely made for each other both of them have a past that in some way interconnects or made them even more alike..

I'm dying to know what is next in the final book of this amazing series..

*You're the most important person in the world to me. My mother and father might have given me life, but you returned it to me when I no longer wanted it. For that you have my undying loyalty no matter if we're together or apart.*

Speechless with Hundreds!!!

Hundreds continue with the story of Pim and Elder, in this book we get to dive deeper into their lives and minds..

Hundreds show us the struggle between Elder and Pim to find a common ground where they can feel safe and comfortable together.. not only Elder has to move around Pim with caution as he doesn't want to hurt her farther but also Pim is dealing with the changes on Elders moods and attitude.. she is trying to figure him out not knowing how to do it when he continuously raise up his walls.

-Elder wasn't just a man. He was more than human. He had transcended into fantasy. He was the beast locked in a castle. He was the hero battling inner demons. He was more than just mortal because he had already done so much more than any other roguish storybook prince would do. He had rescued me. He had awakened me. He had kissed me awake like Sleeping Beauty and removed the poisoned apple from my soul like Snow White. He was my happily ever after.-

This series is getting better and better, if you thought the first two books kept you on the edge, Hundreds will keep you on a cliff lol I mean it is intense and sexy with so many emotions that not even the characters know how to describe..

-He was gravity. He was the moon, and I was the ocean, and together we couldn't look away for a moment.-

The Things that I love about this book are, that we get to see a stronger and more assertive Pim, trying to overshadow that side of her that is trying to keep her to come alive.. she is bolder and more curious about Elder, about life.. Elder in the other hand is also exploring more his feelings, letting go of any previous rule or fear that is keeping them just apart. He has a constant battle in his body and soul but love is stronger than any doubt and sooner or later he will have to come to terms with his past before he loses himself and her forever.

-You are way too much of a romantic for these times. You should have been born six hundred years ago if you want men who kill and women who swoon.-

I started this series not knowing where it will take me or what was all about, and I have to say it was really worth it!! I fall in love with Pepper Winters writing more and more..

I can't wait to read more of Pim and Elder story!!

-I want to smother you with my body and thrust inside you. I want to do such things to you. Things you aren't and will never be ready for. It's because of that that I'm going to let you go. Don't you dare say I'm scared of you. I'm not.
-I'm scared of myself.

But Elder refuses to take no for an answer. He pushes and cajoles, slowly discovering who I am. Until I find out he plays the cello to escape his demons, all while his music conjures mine. He's rich, I'm bankrupt. I'm mute by choice, he's curious by nature. So many reasons why we can never work.

............................................

The story of Elder and Pim continues in Dollars, with Pim struggling to come out of such a harsh estate, it is a constant fight between them, not knowing how to act or what to do.. but in time both will find their rhythm to be able to finally move on.

“His voice fell dark and low. “I told you, you are worth more than pennies, yet you cling to a dollar as if it’s the sum of your value.”

in this Dollars we get to meet more about Elder, what drives him, his power and control, the way he is and the way he commands himself.. we get to see more of his word and his work.. he has a battle inside of him.. he wants her but has to hold himself not to hurt her.. but time and temptation is bigger than his will and sooner or later he will break down..

“Elder Prest was the most dangerous man I’d ever known. Not because he could kill me whenever he chose, but because he had the power to steal so much more than just my life. He could steal my heart.”

Pim is also fighting her demons, she doesn't know what is wrong and what is right, she doesn't know who she is anymore, she has a very hard time trusting again in this new life but she knows he is the only one who can give her back that lost trust, he is the only one capable to teach her and build her all over again.

“I hated that two women lived inside me. Two personalities, two hopes and dreams, and wishes.”

“You, my girl, are a warrior, and even warriors are allowed to be afraid.”

Dollars, focus more on the build-up of the relationship between Elder and Pim, they both can't deny their attraction for each other, not even Pim who still so confused and hurt from her past.. but life is teaching her how to live and feel again.

“What would it be like to have such strong emotions? To hand over your entire heart, never fearing it would be rejected? I’d known what that was like once upon a time. It’d been such a long time ago, I’d forgotten. Shared affection was as mythical to me now as breathing beneath the waves like a fish.”

The story continues and we still have so many questions that are unclear about this amazing couple.. so ready to continue this great story with Hundreds!!

Amazing work by Pepper Winters!!

“I’ve been able to restrain myself up till now, but every second with you, it gets harder and harder.”

It's crazy how fast the buzz comes back after you've been sober for so long. Whiskey stood there, on my doorstep, just like he had one year before. Except this time, there was no rain, no anger, no wedding invitation - it was just us. >It was just him - the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle. It was just me - the alcoholic, pretending like I didn't want to taste him, realizing too quickly that months of being clean didn't make me crave him any less.

I have mixed feelings for this book. It's good, but it was very hard for me to read.
I had to stop a few times because the feelings and emotions the story was evoking really were messing with me so much..

I did finish but I have to say it was really hard for me to go through and Not because of the story or the characters, nothing about that. it was more because I felt broken the whole story, I didn't feel happiness or love between the characters, I felt constant pain and sadness.

The only reason I'm giving this book 3 stars is because the feelings and emotion the story made me feel where never pleasant..

This book is good, the story is good and the idea is good.. but it wasn't for me.

It took me so long to finally read Pennies, I was a little scared at first lol but I'm so glad I finally found my way..

What a rollercoaster of emotions with Pennies but it was so worth it.. whatever you think will happen, think twice because it will never happen that's how Pepper Winters make us so intrigued and hooked for this series.. so many twists and turns that you won't see them coming but really worth it and make this story a great ride..

"This is not a fairytale. This is a black abyss that must be climbed blind before deserving the light. Read at your own peril."

This is a story of two lost souls who happen to find themselves in the worst possible circumstances. he doesn't know much about her and she doesn't know much about him.. she doesn't want anyone to know more about her, she is hiding all her secrets and her past.. but he is not giving up, his only goal is to save her and help her find her lost soul again..

“You’re worth pennies, but I’ll make you worth f millions. However, what I expect in return will be unpayable.”

This is the story of Pim, a beautiful 18-year-old who was robbed of any reason to live.. she had it all and lost it all.. now she doesn't even know who she is anymore, she has been fighting for her life for so many years that she is having a hard time to believe again.

“When does living become the wrong choice and death the right one? When does taking your own life become wiser than letting someone else destroy it?”

Elder a dangerous man who had a very rough start in life. he didn't trust in anybody, and everybody fears him, he didn't give too much but take too much, he lives of taking from others, he was a master of taking precious valuable things... but nothing that money can buy.. what he wants doesn't have a price but it has a name and a past.. and sooner or later he will have her all..

“I wanted into her mind…and if I had to hurt her to achieve that. I would.”

The story of Elder Prest, Kaitou and Pimlico aka Pim starts slowly not knowing where these two will end up, their attraction and chemistry are there, we can feel it since the very first time they meet.. even if both kept making up lies and excuses hiding behind their own silence and fears.

“I would remember him always. He would forget me tomorrow.”

Pennies was a great start of the Dollars series, I have to say I'm completely hooked, I devoured the book, and I got addicted to the characters, the story, everything!! Now, I'm eager to know what is going to happen!!

And yes I have to know more about Elder because so far that guy is EVERYTHING!!!!

let me give you an advice.. DON'T QUIT! the first chapters of the book will make you want to kill some of the characters and maybe throw your kindle a few times BUT believe me it was worth it!! read this book!!

Great Narration by Angela Goethals.. it is my first book narrated by Angela and I really enjoy her work, she really brought out the story, the characters making us feel all the emotional moments, the drama and happiness.. she was great narrating all the other secondary characters and as well as the male characters.. i feel like her voice brought out so much of this book.. Great job!

-------

The Royals are used to live a life of excess, parties, and lies, things haven't been the same since their mother left their lives..
it seems like they're just moving with the motion but nothing is the same.. a constant darkness has filled their home.. not until Callum Royal brings Ella Harper to their doorsteps and the sun starts to shine..

“You may have lost your family, but you’re not alone anymore, Ella. You’re a Royal now.”

"This will never be my home. I don't belong in splendor, I belong in squalor. That's what I know. It's what I'm comfortable with because squalor doesn't lie to you. It's not wrapped up in a pretty package. It is what it is."

Reed Royal lives a very dangerous life of excess, women, and fights, he had everything he ever wanted, except what he wanted the most the love of his mother. He didn't trust anybody, just his brothers and sometimes his father.. his focus was only on the game and his team, nothing was more important than this. not until she came into his home and wreck him forever... his life, his plans his future, his walls are going to crumble and he will have to let it happen if he wants to survive.

"The apple is dangling in front of me, juicy red and delicious, but, like the fairy tale, Reed Royal is the villain disguised as a pretty prince. Taking a bite out of him would be a huge mistake."

Ella Harper was trying to escape from a very hard past. she spends the first years of her life traveling from town to town with her mother until something very bad happened that left her all alone. working on multiple jobs that not necessarily are acceptable for her age, Ella has made it for a while but still, she is very unsure of what to expect until someone shows ups and gives her the opportunity of her lifetime.. to start all over again without having to worry about money and food ever again.. Nothing will be easy, everything comes with a price and her price will be higher than she ever expected.. to endure laughs and bullies from people she never met, even from the people whom sooner or later she will have to learn to trust.

“You should know whatever game you're playing, you can't win. Not against all of us. If you leave now, you won't be hurt. If you stay, we'll break you so bad that you'll be crawling away.”

Paper Princess is a roller coaster of emotions, there are so many twists and turns, a lot of situations that you won't see them coming.. this is a book with a lot of teenage drama that will keep you entrained.. there are so many great moments in the story as well as great laughs and cries..

"Somewhere along the line, I started thinking that if I just got through this bad experience, this bad day, that tomorrow I’d have something better, brighter, newer. I still believe that. I still believe that there’s something good out there for me. I just have to keep going until my time comes."

Ella and Reed's chemistry was very strong since the very beginning of the story, they kept trying to hide their emotions making us feel their rejections, and fears before they even notice their love and attraction for each other.

"Reed Royal has broken me. I’ve fallen from the sky and I’m not sure I can get up. Not this time."

This is the first book in the Royals series, in this book, you meet so many great characters that you're going to love and see in the next royal books: Easton, Gideon, The Twins, Brooke, Val, Dinah O’Halloran, and many more that bring so much to this story.. get ready to meet all the crazy shenanigans of the Royals and Ella Harper..

"You belong with us. You’re the best thing that ever happened to this family.”

This was a good ride an easy good story that will keep you smiling and having a good time..

this is the story of Zane and Harlow

Zane is a rich Australian entrepreneur, who doesn't believe in love or long-term relationships anymore, he has a very bad opinion about the subject and also about the people who actually fall in love.. his only caring is to continue making money and having one night stands with the rest of the entire female populations.. but something comes up that he has to make some changes in his life and even in his business.. if he wants to succeed he will have to compromise and do things that maybe he will not be so happy about..

Harlow is a very beautiful model, making her way in life, she doesn't have a job at the moment and is having a hard time finding one but circumstances have pushed her to accept things that maybe she will not be proud of but at the moment seems like the only answer to her dreams and even problems.. she was only looking for a good job but she ends up finding what will change her life forever..

Zane and Harlow's story starts with lies, they had built in order to keep a few people happy and make Zane's business successful, not caring their feelings were getting involved, sooner or later things will start to get complicated and people may get hurt..

Faking it was a good story, you're going to laugh a lot with the crazy barter between Zane and Harlow but also you're going to fall in love and cry a lot with these two. if you're looking for something light. this is a good story and a good book to starts

Great narration by Natasha Soudek, is my first narration by her and I really love how she put so much emotion on both characters .. her voice really made a huge difference in the story and the book.. great narration.

......

Two broken souls find each other under weird circumstances not looking to fall for one and other but life had other plans for them..

Parker is recovering from a past that she no longers wants to remember, she is strong, bold but yet likes to live her life alone.. people think she is weird but she doesn't care about anything and anybody, she only wants to forget .. until the day she meets him someone like her, with the same scares and burdens life has left in their hearts..

“I see you, Parker. You’re broken. Not all broken things can be fixed. And that’s okay, don’t you know that? It was your brokenness that drew me to you because I saw in you the same things I saw in me. It was our brokenness that connected us. So I can’t wish away those broken pieces in me, because without them I wouldn’t have seen you.”

Everett is not looking to hook up or anything new in life, he already had given up so many things and wasn't looking forward to anything exciting.. he already had his expiration date and wasn't eager for the future, his only focus was to keep going until the end without any compromise or relations.

"I didn't want to draw people to me with my broken pieces. I wanted to be left alone among all those pieces, sitting in the middle of them so if people dared to come close, they'd cut themselves on all the pieces to get to me."

Parker and Everett's story started very slow at the beginning you get to see how both characters are very stubborn and rude, making you think they really don't like each other, but as we dive deeper into their story.. we can start to feel their love and the need for each other. they were meant to be together no matter how much they tried to deny their feelings.. somehow their loneliness and rudeness brought them together.

“In here,” he said, pushing on the skin above my heart, “you're ten below zero. And you’re closer to death than I am.”

The ending was perfect I actually felt that it really gave a conclusion to both characters.. you can see their growth and how far they had come.. in someway we get to see the beauty of both characters in the last paragraph of the story..

Overall it was a very emotional ride, definitely brought many tears but as well many laughs and smiles..

”Parker, he sleepily murmured against my neck. “Are you in love with me yet?”

Jaya is a New York Journalist trying to find herself after three miscarriages, her marriage it a stake, she feels lost and her husband doesn't feel like this relationship can hold them anymore.. desperate Jaya runs far away from home, seeking answers about her past and her mother, a mother who only has given her cold stares and shoulders never being close to her not knowing why Jaya goes backs to India seeking for the truth she always longed for to know..

"She set the course of our mother-daughter relationship and cemented it to what we are today—two strangers with blood as our bond."

"Mom’s idea of love was to take me to school and feed me food.”

Jaya's journey starts when she arrives in India and meets the former server of her grandmother Ravi, he was more than just the help, he was her best friend and confidant. he holds the key to Jayas answers and future and in time Jaya will get what she been looking for her whole life..

“You are the only one who has come. Amisha’s sons left decades ago and never returned. Their father . . . Waited for them for years. In time, he accepted what we all must. That those who leave have a reason that is more powerful than the one to stay.”

We also get to meet the story of her grandmother Amisha, a wonderful woman, a kindred spirit, born in the wrong place and time. she never accepted the rules society and culture imposed on women, she wanted to fight for what she wanted and believe but life and circumstance especially her husband where the ones who always tried to shut her down and buried her dreams and needs.. she was a great storyteller, that brought joy with them to everybody who was ready to listen especially her students and him.. the one who will change her life forever...

"It wasn’t fair. Why were her hopes a threat to their life when he followed his own without consequences?"

Steve was in the British army but life and circumstances brought him to India. He was in "charge" of the local school making it impossible for him not to spend time with Amisha. Their love started very slow not knowing and noticing their attraction and feelings for each other. but time and circumstances will bring them closer making their love impossible to ignore and hide their feelings anymore..

“As a human, she was imperfect, as all humans are. But her heart always fought to do right by others, even when she was not doing right by herself. Therein lies her perfection.”

I really love Steve and Amisha's love story, it was beautiful to see how there were meant to be together. no matter what society tried to tell them only they knew that their love was pure and meant to be..

My favorite character was Ravi, he really took the center stage of the story, he was a very kind man, someone whose soul was very bright even if the other characters kept telling him, he was an untouchable.. he was loyal, a confident and a great friend to Amisha and also to Jaya.

“Your grandmother, Amisha, always said to me, ‘Ravi, when you are next to the earth, you can hear her secrets.’ Then she would laugh, climb onto the very seat you are on, and say, ‘So please tell me what you find out.’”

We also get to meet Patrick one of the main reasons why Jaya left for India, feeling like there was nothing left to save between them anymore thinking he already found someone else to get comfort.

"In Patrick, I found a happiness I never believed existed. I was sure I had gotten my fairy tale, but he isn’t a knight in shining armor, nor am I a princess. We are two people whose love has moved from the light into the shadows."

The Storyteller's secret was a very enjoyable story, full of emotions, It made me laugh and cry, it made me angry about how people treated a woman, not given them any voice or choice, threaten them like they were here just to procreate and nothing more.. especially Deepak and his new wife. I couldn't understand how they could be so harsh and had so much hate in their hearts towards a child.. when Amisha was pure Joy and love and gave everything no matter who there were. this is exactly how we knew Deepak was very wrong for her.. they weren't meant to be together NEVER.

"My grandmother never believed love was her right or that she would be valued for her writing. Yet I had attained success in both, never having had to make a sacrifice for either."

Overall it was a Great story, it was my first book by Sejal Badani and I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.

I don't believe in fairy tales and Prince Charming. I believe in fear. He taught me how to be afraid. We first met on a playground on a wonderful summer day. It was the first time he hurt me and it wouldn't be the last. For 10 years, he's been my tormentor and I've been his forbidden. But then he went away, and yet I was still afraid. Now, he's back, and wants more than just my tears. You see...he thinks I sent him away so now he wants revenge...and he knows just how to get it.

Great narration of Ava Erickson, really love that she could make us feel all the emotions and anxiety the characters were feeling.. she did a great job making the rest of the characters voices and giving life to the story..

...............

What a ride with Fear Me, it was twisted, angsty not knowing where it was headed and what was going to happen but at the end, we finally understood so many clues and things that were not clear at the time..

The story of Lake and Kieran is complicated, they never say love was something sweet, but these two had given love another meaning .. they hate each other, they hurt each other, they still pretend and fight their feelings all the time not knowing everybody around them could see their strong chemistry,, no matter how much they tried to rip each other's heart sooner or later they will finally accept what life has to offer ..

“Making her fear me was only half the battle. I needed to make her want me, too.”

Lake is a very beautiful girl who is trying to survive in life, she doesn't have a family, she doesn't' know where her parents are and if they're alive or if they even lover her.. her life wasn't perfect, she had a shadow, someone who hates her and is ready to make her life miserable, she didn't know why he didn't like her, she didn't know why he was so mean to her but sooner or later truth will come out, tearing down walls, making her to finally fall in love..

“I wish I could get Keiran to tell me about his past. I feel like it has everything to do with why he is this way.
You ever think he might just have a really dominant personality?”

Kieran had a very tormented childhood, he is not what people think he is, he has so many demons that keep lurking around his life.. he doesn't want to lay them to rest he just want to keep taking revenge toward the only person whom he cares the most..his only motto is vengeance but time will show that no amount of hate can destroy love..

“I’m afraid for him because every day he has to fight the person he is, to be the person he wants to be.”

The love story of Kieran and Lake is not your typical story, it will challenge you and make you want to throw your kindle a few times but at the end, you will see why their relationship was the way it was, why Kieran was so eager to destroy the only woman he ever loved..

“I’m a hopeless f who is obsessed with a girl he still wants to hurt.”

This is the beginning of The Broken Love series, get ready to meet so many great characters that eventually you will get to know in the rest of the series. Keenan, Dash, Sheldon, and Willow will bring and give so much to Fear Me making the ride more enjoyable and more complicated..
