The American Girl brand is synonymous with wholesome, empowering tales about young women growing up in America, even as the country grows, too. Each girlโ€™s story documents with unsurpassed charm and wit the people, places, and events she witnesses. Taking place in 1854, Kirstenโ€™s stories follow the young Swedish immigrant and her family as they attempt to start a new life on a farm in frontier Minnesota.

This book is one of my favs!!! If you love American girl dolls of their stories, I would recommend this book. It is one of the best American girl stories written. I will say that some parts are weird because Kirsten lies or gets no punishment for things she did, but over all the book is great!!!!!๐Ÿ˜€

It is a good thing that mothers understand what no one else seems to when you are the youngest child in the family, and are finally four years old. Bonnie is more than ready to join her older sisters and brother in the many adventures she sees come their way, whether it be sliding along the ice, searching for arrowheads, or going on that journey of all journeys-across the swinging bridge to school.
