Oh boy, I had read the reviews but nothing prepared me for Angela Dawe's delivery of the narration. It was a struggle to listen. Her dialogue parts were not bad but her straight out narration has the oddest cadence and flatness of tone to it I have ever heard. It's as though she had no feeling for the words at all. Like Daniels did a fine job with his parts. The story was a typical Coban with intricate twists and suspense, again taking the reader to the very last page with new information. It's a great book but it's a great read not a great listen.

The naration was stellar, I felt as though I knew the characters. I have always enjoyed the everyman quality of his books. His protagonist goes about his business in a sendible and believable mannor, no grand heroics or unbelievable skills. The writing makes it so relatable.

I was amazed that the youngest among these characters was the most just. Insightful of Stevenson to see the quality of men's hearts.

I found the volume inconsistent so sometimes it was harder to hear, sometimes too loud

I just couldn't put it down. I loved the character tie ins to other books, it gives these characters more depth. I was pleased with the end as well. I don't like too tidy endings.

This was a little predictable but still a very good lesson. The characters are engaging although a little too prfect. The plot has some twists and turns even if parts of it are somewhat transparent. To me what was missing was the everyman quality of Harlan Coben books. When you read his books you always feel like you would have probably done the same in that situation. I'm not so sure with this one.

Engrossing story beautifully written.

How wonderful to have a character who is so self aware. Vivian is relatable to most women if they are truthful to themselves. We recognize ourselves in her reactions even if we are not of her age or exact circumstances. Blair Brown does a flawless job at narration.

What a walk down memory lane for those of us alive in the 60's. Great story.

There are many voices, many story lines to follow, you have to read or listen carefully. This a beautifully spun story viewied like a kaleidoscope, every thing connected to everything through time or place; yet ever growing and adding dimension. I truly enjoyed it and will read it again.

Even though I figured out several elements early, and was wondering why the main character did not as well, I very much enjoyed the story.

I am going to miss the Odd one. He has such a gentle human approach to everything he does and most of what he does is deal with the worst of humanity and the nonhuman elements in his world. I found this to be a satisfying possible conclusion to the series.
