Do not buy this book if you're expecting a Neal Stephenson novel. It's a decent book on its own, but the classic bait and switch method of putting a more successful authors name on the cover to sell copies will disappoint expectations.

Cliffhanger story is pretty good, audio production is fantastic. Fair to middling novel as a whole.

It's rare that anthology books, a collection of short stories, are as good as a full novel, but this nails it. Each piece is its own work of art, and they mesh together and provide additional substance to the greater world in which they belong.
Excellent narration, entertaining stories, and a great expansion to the series.
