I started this series with strong interest, but am finding myself a bit impatient with sappy interludes in the action. fine to mix romance in with mystery, but too often in this case, the romantic reflections bring the story to crawl.

slower paced, and far more predictable than others in the series. the main character's many points of self reflection only served to slow it down more, and make her seem dull. I liked the earlier books enough to give one more a try in hopes the next one is more engaging

Karen White' s New York Times best-selling novels keep audiences up well into the night with their compelling plots and engaging characters. Sea Change is a riveting tale of second chances, forgiveness, and leaps of faith. Plagued by feelings of loneliness and not belonging, 35-year-old Ava Whalen is as shocked as anyone when she falls for child psychologist Matthew Frazier, elopes with him, and settles down on St. Simons Island, Georgia. I'm a real fan of White's writing, but was disappointed in the characters and storyline of this particular book.
