This book was like a breath of fresh air. It was different from other shifter romances. The twist was the characters were Mages, shifters & Navy Seals. So it was jammed packed with everything you could wish for in a romance. Oh, and there was plenty of action, plot & sexy enough to keep your attention without it being all about sex. Basically, there is an actual plot and not endless moaning & heavy breathing.

This book made the Romance Package worth it.

If Audible looks at these reviews, I would recommend they get more of this author's books in audio format. She has a vast amount of books that I would love to listen to because of her writing skills. At the present time, there are only 3 Bonnie Vanak books available in this catalog of books.

Rowan Greenwood has everything she's supposed to want from life - a good family, a bright future, and a proposal from a handsome and wealthy magic hunter. She knows she should be content with what she has. If only she could banish the idea that there's more to life than marriage and children, or let go of the fascination with magic that she's been forced to suppress since childhood.

This is a series that I would love to hear more of but it seems that only 1 book has been written so far. Hopefully, this will be rectified soon because the writer left me hanging.

A good vs evil story with depth. It involves evil Sorcerer brothers who want a woman with unknown magic. Her kindness to one of the brothers changed him but they are both hunted by the older evil brother. Of course, there are plenty of trials and much danger while they hide with many other magical creatures.

Hoping to hear the rest of the story.

I was looking for Romantic Comedy & since it was under that category I expected one. But, after 3 hours into the book with no laughter, no smirk or no smile I give up it's not a Romantic Comedy.

Those 3 hours were spent listening to a girl & a guy who seem to really want each other dance around the issue for 6 years. I found it juvenile and boring because the plot didn't seem to be going anywhere. Of course, there is the usual "friend(s)" that we all know about from life experience who are anything BUT your friend - been there, done that. So, with 7 hours and 2 minutes left in the book, I give up. No laughter, no excitement, no fun and I will scream if I listen to the drivel anymore. The characters are supposed to be 30 years old for gods sake. Now, there may be some or perhaps many 30 year old's that are as immature as the characters in this book are but I just can't remember being that young at 18 much less 30. Granted I didn't finish the book and there are many hours left that could fulfill that comedy category or in the next 5 minutes it could break into such a hair raising, heart throbbing plot that you can't stop listening but I'm skeptical.

Now as to the narrators, yes a male and a female. They did an adequate job except when she did the male part and attempted a Scottish accent. I would have loved the male narrator to have done a fine brogue but his attempt gave you the idea of a Scot lead character.

Those are my impressions based on expectations and only 3 hours and 6 minutes into the book but you can judge for yourself. I apologize for the poor review.
Now I must go and take something for the headache I've developed.

This is a rehash of the first 3 books from Nicolas point of view. I personally found it boring because I felt like I got most of this in the first 3 books which were from Sara's POV. Although it is from Nicholas perspective, I didn't think this book really added to the overall story. I got most of Nicolas reaction in the first 3 books. They were detailed enough that you could envision Nicolas feelings. Even most of the dialog was word for word the same & just had filler explaining why Nicolas was so protective.

I did enjoy the first 3 books and the 5th book.

Hopefully, the author will continue with this series because there are several characters that I would love to hear their story. Hopefully, Chris' story next.

Joyce's life is mapped out: dead end job, after dead end job, until she is dead. At least, that is until Kede Tria - a Doshan alien - shows up and takes her away from it all. Literally. He's overbearing, possessive, sexy as hell, and everything she never knew she wanted in a man, er, alien. Of course, life happens and she discovers Death by Chocolate isn't just a dessert, it's a reality. Good thing Kede is there to save her...by making her Doshan.

Joyce, a secretary, is in the wrong place at the wrong time and literally runs into Commander Kede Tria. His species has a NO TOUCH RULE and their society harshly punish those who break it. He is there to choose earth's ambassador to travel on the Doshan ship and chose Joyce, the woman who tripped and ended up in his arms. Even though Joyce wasn't part of those selected as a potential ambassador the Commander has made his decision and it's final.

Joyce is a clueless dingbat that trouble easily finds. When she wakes up naked on the alien's ship her salty language begins to fly. Joyce being Joyce drops a few F-bombs resulting in the entire crew of the ship saying YES, PLEASE to her unintended invitation because Doshan society take things said literally.

Kede and Joyce are attracted to each other but their different customs keep things interesting. It is a roller coaster of misunderstandings. The book kept me in stitches. It is action packed hilarity from start to finish. I loved Joyce's internal dialog with herself and the convoluted arguments she and Kede have.

I loved this book and wish there were more on audible by this author or authors similar to this one.

I was expecting a WW 2 Romance since it was in the Romance package. That isn't what i got. Instead it was a historical (fiction) story about several people and their families. It was more descriptive of these people and what happened to them during the war years. If it weren't fiction, I would have called it a documentary type book. Since it wasn't what expected or wanted I didn't finish the book. I might have enjoyed it IF it was what I wanted. However, I expected a WW 2 romance and couldn't enjoy this book.

It was sheer luck that I stumbled across Anna Lowe's books. My first was Aloha Shifters Series and I was hooked. I bought that one when Whispersync was at a reasonable price of 1.99 if you purchased the Kindle book. That gave me the opportunity to find great authors that I normally wouldn't take the chance on. Anna Lowe was one of those authors. Sadly, they have discontinued this program and now the Whispersync books are 7.49 or higher...so no more exploring to find those new authors or hidden jewels. I just won't take a chance on the unknown and will cut back on my purchases. I'm sure my purse will enjoy that. That was always my go to & I used my credits and/or additional cash to get the remainder of the books in the series. I've bought many a series that way and found some wonderful authors. This was just an example of that working for me. That one Whispersync (1.99 audio version) book led me to purchase ALL of hers other book series from audible at full price.

What I liked best about this box set was I got value for my credit. I devoured the first 3 books in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series and I went back to get the remainder of the series but sadly they aren't in Audio format yet so I purchased the Blue Moon Saloon series to satisfy my thirst for these characters. The Saloon series is another box set of the first two books. Since the books are very short individually, I was pleased that they put them into box sets. So far, all the book series loosely tie into each other and yet they can be stand alone books. However, I await the remainder of The Twin Moon Ranch series (hopefully in a box set since the books are short). I think there are 3 more books in this series. They are available in Kindle but that is always my last resort.

The Twin Moon Ranch series has well developed characters and each book has a unique plot even though they all take place on Twin Moon Ranch. Best of all, Anna Lowe has included short stories at the end of each book that were either cut out of the original book or flesh out the plot. I loved the additional information because I wasn't ready to let my characters go just yet!

The first two books in this series are about two brothers (the alpha's sons) who find their mates in the human realm (a BIG NO NO in the shifter world) and the third is about 2 shifters who were turned against their will and the adversity they endured. All three books were so enjoyable that I immediately purchased the Blue Moon Saloon series and would have bought anything else Anna Lowe had written if it had been in audio format. Hope this helps you decide to take a chance on this and the other Anna Lowe series. I have enjoyed every book that I've had of hers.

Don't you love it when a "first" book you listen to makes you immediately want to buy the entire series? That's what happened with this book. Within the first few chapters I stopped listening for just a moment to search and buy the other books --- they weren't there. NO...NO...NO. I NEED a My Commander fix NOW!!!

This is the funniest paranormal romance I've heard. It takes irreverent pokes at society. The author wrote things that I've often wanted to say and sometimes did much to my embarrassment. They say "the truth will set you free" and Meryn Evans spoke it with a good dose of "hoof and mouth disease". If you want tears running down your face with laughter, pee in your pants giggles and a snort thrown in for good measure, then listen to this book. Meryn takes on paranormal high society in the funniest way.

Aiden McKenzie, the Apha Unit's Commander, is out patrolling when a tiny human climbs the warded fence and throws his life into chaos. A human is his mate and she is everything he doesn't need to fit into his station in life. Not only is she human, she is an introverted geek and a computer genius. So, after she knocks him out (spoiler alert) he does the only thing he knows how to do. He locks her in the trunk and takes her home to his parents. They can figure out what to do with her. Let the hi-jinks begin.

I saw that one person hated the narrator. I thought she did an awesome job with her characters. Maybe that reviewer just doesn't have the same sense of humor that I do. Take the time to listen to the sample to see if the author's humor is the same as yours. It definitely tickled my funny bone. The only negative is the book stopped too soon and I felt left hanging as if I was at the end of a chapter rather than the end of a book. Otherwise, it's a 5 star laugh out loud book of wonder.

If you hurry, this book is a whispersync $.99 Kindle and $1.99 audiobook when purchased together. (5/1/17)

There are 8 -12 books (includes novellas) in the "Bewitched and Bewildered" series and sadly, this is the only one in audio format at the present time. Alanea Alder also has another 8 book series, "Kindred Of Arkadia". This author could be my "New Favorite" author if the other books are similar to this one. Now if Audible would just publish the other books in audio format.

Over 28,000 people on Goodreads rated both series with an average of between 4.19 - 4.38. We couldn't all be wrong.

Tyler Baron, Confederation ship Dauntless' captain, is the grandson of a war hero from the Confederation-Union wars and is treated like a hero himself. He is cocooned from danger because of his status. While patrolling the backwater borders of Confederation territory his ship ran into a trap set by some unknown ship or ships. There shouldn't have been any danger in that area. That area was filled with sparsely populated mining planets of no use to anyone. Tyler's questions were: Who has infiltrated? What do they want? As he realizes (or thinks he knows) what they are after, he is informed his ship is the only thing that can save their entire civilization from destruction.

This book kept me on edge the entire time but I couldn't stop listening. It is one of the better sci-fi space novels that I've listened to yet, when finished, I felt regret, anger and dismay. I probably felt other things that I just can't touch on yet. It brought tears to my eyes at the futility of war and I questioned why people have this tendency in them. The anger I felt was toward the warmongering Alliance race that destroyed, cannibalized every civilization they came in contact with because their leaders indoctrinated the people in "the way".

The Vindictus ship's captain, Katrine Rigellus, sent out to engage the Confederation was questioning the warlike dogma the people of her planet were fed by their politicians. Those same politicians never get blood on their hands nor feel the long term effects of war on their psyche. There was no moral reason for their warlike society only the greed of the leaders as they sent their armies to attack weaker or peaceful planets. The leaders and politicians reap the rewards of war by increasing their power, money and status while those fighting in the war and their families suffer. Katrine questioned all this to herself but still obeyed her training/brainwashing.

I actually felt sorry for Katrine Rigellus and respected her even though she was born on a warlike planet.

This was almost 13 straight hours of tension filled listening but I couldn't put it down. I was too invested in ALL the characters and felt the loss of those who died as if they were my own. Each chapter

I would suggest you listen when you have work that can mindlessly be done so that you can work off the tension and emotions.
