Inspiring, moving, interesting accounts of Reiki in a variety of real world situations. Post 9/11 and trauma situations described just heart-breaking and heart-mending. A lot of fascinating afterlife communications that author stresses are not Reiki per se, but also very moving. Helps to have an open mind before picking this one up, and if you do, these poignant stories may bring new depth.

I initially was not enthused about listening to this title, as I'm not a huge biography or memoir fan. So glad I overcame my reluctance! This is a fabulous story, especially learning about Michelle Obama's youth - -a real story of hope. So appreciated her reading her own story - made it even more sincere.

And frightening re: the lack of basic government stewardship, and how “money driven” has eclipsed “mission driven” in critically important government agencies. Yet also very revealing and encouraging
about heroes trying to
figure out how to do the right thing....unfortunately, now not within the Federal government.

The event shook her deeply and eventually led her to enroll in a PhD program to research NDEs. The findings, along with the profound spiritual lessons that she has gleaned from her work, are published here. During her academic work, Dr. Sartori studied three samples of ICU patients during a five year period.

Imagine a united consciousness, an awareness of which all of our minds are a part - and a potential way out of the division, greed, and destruction that threaten to engulf our world. In the twentieth century, we were introduced to several subdivisions of the mind: the conscious, unconscious, subconscious, preconscious, and so on. But what we didn't know was that there was another level of consciousness, an all-encompassing, infinite dimension of shared intelligence: the One Mind.

A wonderful comprehensive perspective on how what appears obvious is ignored if not consistent with societal "norms". Compelling examples of connections between us, appealing to one's scientific and spiritual point of view. Persuasive vignettes and theories, making even dogmatic individuals with at least a sprinkling of curiosity think twice about what this all means.

An insightful collection of lectures from the 1970-1990's, I immensely enjoyed listening to these individually. Then, stopping to ponder the content. Not a child of the sixties, I found some of the lingo "trip, rush, turn on" at first a little dated, but then charming. Perhaps made some of the information more accessible to some of us in Western cultures. Wonderfully prods one into examining our culture, the human condition, and most importantly, the big picture. And what's important, and what's not. And taking things too seriously does not help anything.......

I will definitely listen to more of this visionary's recordings.
