Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.

This is my second book by this author and I'm really enjoying the fun lighthearted spins she puts on books! Petra, the female Peter Pan character is delightful! She's spunky and feisty and Tinker her fairy counterpart is hilarious!

I really liked the twist with the male wendy character, Eirwen Darling. he was sweet and fun too and a perfect foil for Petra's spunkiness.

I also loved the sort of Arthurian legend twist too! That was fresh and different! :)

I absolutely love a beauty and the beast retelling and this one was especially fun! Instead of a girl Belle, we have a male in her place, and the beast is actually a girl who's been cursed into the body of a yeti! The humor is delightful and light and the romance was real and sweet!! I can't wait to read more from this author!

Two weeks ago, two of the dreamiest men I've ever seen moved in across the street. Ever since then, I've been obnoxiously aware of every little noise I hear coming from next door. Every sound is a chance that they might be outside working on one of their cars in their driveway or mowing the lawn shirtless. Yummy. Looking is all I can do though. They're both way out of my league. One a gorgeous blond with a swimmer's build. The other a ruggedly handsome brunette with the most delicious five o'clock shadow. And then there's me, average at best. Never in a million years did I think they would show up on my front doorstep. And what they want is far from conventional.

Where does Your Wild Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty high up there. It was a well blended combination of good writing, good storytelling and wonderful narration.

What other book might you compare Your Wild Heart to and why?

Suzanne Wright's Phoenix Pack series because they both are great stories that have realistic depictions of wolves and a believable enjoyable romance story line.

Have you listened to any of Max Martin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to him before but I would love to listen to new books now. His voice is smooth and delightful and just the right pace.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"Werewolves have never been so fun..."

Any additional comments?

I'm hoping that they'll soon put the rest of Dena Garson's Black Hills pack on Audio so I can binge read the entire series!

Would you listen to Close Liaisons again? Why?

YES! Gosh, yes. It kept me spellbound and I couldn't stop listening to it! I finished it in just three days.

What other book might you compare Close Liaisons to and why?

It's a bit like Anna Zaires's contemporary book Twist Me but a little less dark. It's also a little like Fifty Shades of Gray with it's "obssession" sort of romance which I really enjoy.

Which scene was your favorite?

there were too many to count, but pretty much any time the hero and heroine interacted, i was really enjoying the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when the heroine Mia believes that her involvement in the human resistance moved resulting in thousands of soldiers getting killed when she was used as a pawn, but then she discovers the soldiers were knocked out, not killed. I was right there with her, panicking and wondering if they were dead and then so relieved to find out they hadn't died.

Any additional comments?

This was just a fantastic read and I can't wait to read the next two in the trilogy!
