At 34 years old, ex-DEA agent Memphis Wheland has lived, loved, and lost...everything. The ultimate betrayal by the man he gave everything to has left Memphis with no family, no career, and a bone-deep bitterness that refuses to release him from its icy grip. His work with an underground vigilante organization is the only light in his otherwise bleak existence. That and the occasional no-strings hookup with men whose only focus in that moment, and for as long as Memphis wants them, is him and only him. No clingy exes, no unrequited love, no relationship drama. Period.

This is a seriously addicting series that's highly stressful and full of angst but very rewarding at the end. I do have to take breathers between books because of the angst but I always go back for more!!!!
Each book's story is so memorable because I'm so moved by the characters past and struggles through-out, what an AMAZING series this is!! 💓 Michael Pauley does a great job with the narration 😀

This was not a fluffy read!!! 🥺It was about paranormal, torture, survival, companionship and the love between three souls/men. It took a chapter for me to get into and understand the book but once I got it, LOOK OUT I couldn't get enough!!! 😚 The narrator Jack LeFleur did an excellent job!!

Two men haunted by the same ghost...Falling for "the other man" in my marriage was never part of the plan. Then again, according to Nicolae Ursache, I am the other man, and human wedding vows don't apply. Not to werewolves. Nicolae is a smug, arrogant alpha male stereotype - and I do mean alpha in the literal sense - but when the same people who killed my wife kidnap my teenage daughter, he's my only chance at getting her back. The fact that Nicolae was my wife's rightful mate means that we share a mutual interest in bringing Ellie home.

I went into this book opened minded because I had never heard of this author before and I was looking for a hate/love relationship and that's exactly what I got!!! 😍 One review I read had said that they thought Jack was a door mat but I totally disagree!! Jack, right from the get-go was snarky, disrespectful to an alpha and argumentative as hell and I absolutely LOVED it!! Jack was no push over until it came to his daughter who I thought was a brat. This story keep me not only listening to on audio but also wanting buy the book as well so I could read it as well because I couldn't wait to continue the story until I was on my way to work the next day 😏😊 The narrator Kirt Graves did a phenomenal job with the European accents!! Niclolae and Jack were amazing together and Jack was exactly what the pack needed. 🤩

What an entertaining ride this whole first series was!!!! I absolutely LOVED it! All three of these characters Gray, John and Caleb learned so much from each other 🤗 trust, humanity, love and also skepticism from John relating to spectr.

The banter between Gray and Caleb had me cracking up so much 🤣 and the chemistry between the three of them was off the charts HOT!!!!
Tiffany annoyed me at first but she grew on me, she was just a big bad ass with an attitude😏😚
I'm so happy I read/listened to this on audio (excellent job to the narrator Brad Langer)and I will look forward to a continuation of this series😍

All Hagen did throughout the book was argue with his lovers. When Mitch came into the picture I wasn't fond of him at ALL, he was overly confident and arrogant and didn't come close to grueling enough for me to have Hagen's forgiveness. 🤨 This story had much potential but it fell short for me, I would liked to hear more of Hagen's struggle with PTS and his story when he was captured. Not one of my favorite reads by Mary Calmes.

2.5 ⭐️’s I wish I could say I absolutely loved this book but unfortunately it was frustrating as hell. The instant forgiveness Otto gave Seth was ridiculous, I wanted some fire or drag out fight but got nothing. Seth’s whole family was a joke they all were selfish, hateful and homophobes. Seth needed to get a pair of big boy pants and tell they all to go to hell which he mildly did later on with his parents but his brother and ex wife still had no respect for him or his life.
Otto needed a serious back bone, everyone seemed to walk right over him!! This was so frustrating to read and not want to shake some sense into Otto 😩!! He just seemed so compliant with everything going on, I get he wanted to protect Seth but seriously he was going to put his and Seth’s life on hold because of a punk that didn’t give a shit about what his actions were doing to their life and Otto was all about sacrificing his career, integrity in their life together!
Jolie Seth’s ex wife who Seth gave everything to outright lied about Otto, implementing him with starting a 🔥. Nothing was ever said about that, life went on like it didn’t happen! 😡 Oh, the fire chief wouldn’t you have thought he would have had your back instead of trying to pin the fires on you?!? Yes, perfect I’d want to go back and work for him🤯. Both main characters were a huge disappointment, I believe they seriously loved each other but just let too much bullshit get in the way from what was important.

OMG, how do I even begin?!?!?? Well, first I loved that the story was told in both Kates and Shane's point of view so we could get into both of their heads and also figure out or try to explain why Shane was a dick throughout most of this book.😫 He cut down Kate DEEP💔 a couple times that I had a hard time even contemplating forgiving him and I think if it hadn't been for the kids Kate would have walked away a long time ago.
I felt bad for her because it seemed her best friend Rachel used and manipulated her for her own needs and Kate put up with it because she was the type of person that when you have her love and friendship she'll go above and beyond even if it's at her own expense. Kate was just a genuine person 🤗 who always put everyone first before herself.
I was happy she gave it to Shane and didn't put up with his attitude and gave right back to him, she was no doormat!!
This was a real roller coaster ride of tremendous ups and downs that's what made this book so very good and a 5 star rating for me. I just wish we had more time at the end for hea moments between Kate and Shane! 😍
5 rating for me. The dual narrations were fantastic and they did a GREAT job!!

3.5 stars only because I wasn't a big fan of West/Jonas. I enjoyed the book and listening to the story about Tristan and West falling in love and learning to live again, very sweet. I felt bad for Tristan always having to watch how he worded things to West in fear if he said the wrong thing he'd disappear from his life so that was my only complaint regarding the book, overall I loved it and the audio version with Iggy Toma as the narrator was excellent! Looking forward to starting the next book in this series 😍

3.5 stars, this book was cute and very entertaining 😂🤣and the narrator Joel Leslie was perfect for this book!! I guess my reason for not giving it a full 4 stars was because there were a couple of times where Doug/Dog totally ignored Lionel like he was a total stranger after inviting him out because he seen his family members and he was embarrassed to be seen with Lionel because of his femme side. I gave him a pass once for this the second time, 🤯😡 NOPE. Poor Lionel I loved him and felt sorry for him because he kept getting shit on but he keep his sense of humor and his head up which is what made this book for me, he was a strong and sassy ass character🤩👠!!! The ending was a little unbelievable with Doug's dad coming around to his son being gay and excepting of Lionel but overall the book was a good audio for me..
