The story is very rich in detail and creates a believable world where immortality is possible...for a price.

Would you consider the audio edition of Wedding Day Dead to be better than the print version?

I haven't enjoyed the print

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot was well-driven and engaging. I have not listened to the first book, but this one was well-written and didn't require historical knowledge of the characters to enjoy.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did laugh---the narrator is fantastic and has great comedic timing.

Any additional comments?

Another great listen from RC Bray!

Would you listen to Island 731 again? Why?

Yep, I listen to most of Bray's books twice. It was a pretty fun story.

What other book might you compare Island 731 to and why?

See headline

Have you listened to any of R. C. Bray’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, and Bray is always on. This wasn't my favorite story that he's narrated, but he is the best when it comes to giving characters all three dimensions.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

See headline.

What did you love best about The Golem and the Jinni?

This was a really wonderfully layered book, using the backdrop of NYC at the turn of the century with the varied lives of immigrants and the differing mystic tales of the various ethnicities. I immediately listened to it again once I finished.

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

The accents. He was really great.

If you could take any character from The Golem and the Jinni out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The Jinni, obviously. He sounded HOT.

Any additional comments?

Great listen. Thanks!

What made the experience of listening to The Deep the most enjoyable?

The narrator was top notch.

What did you like best about this story?

The overall creep factor. Reminded me a lot of early King.

Which scene was your favorite?

I'm not sure---maybe where they talk about the early experiments by Clayton.

Who was the most memorable character of The Deep and why?

LB.

Any additional comments?

Very entertaining.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because it's an intimate story that needs to be told. So much is left unsaid when wars are taught in school.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mellas, naturally---his change from wide-eyed rookie to steely soldier was complete and heartbreaking.

What about Bronson Pinchot’s performance did you like?

EVERYTHING. I read later on that during the parts where he sounds like he is breaking up, he is actually near tears. WOW. So amazing, I will listen to anything he narrates--honestly, best in the biz.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's a little long for that, but I certainly tried. I'm an addict.

Any additional comments?

Amazing read.

Would you listen to War and Remembrance again? Why?

Maybe.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Byron Henry. He was really fleshed out and human.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the Jastros are reunited in the German camp. I was listening while running, and I literally stopped in the street and cried.

If you could rename War and Remembrance, what would you call it?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes

What did you like best about this story?

The stripped down and somewhat cruel look at human weaknesses

What does Joe Barrett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amazing voices characterization

If you could take any character from The Bonfire of the Vanities out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Tom Killian. I bet he has the best stories.

Any additional comments?

I have never seen the movie, so my take on the novel wasn't influenced by pre-set characters from the big screen. Loved the story, and although I was sad to see it end, I truly enjoyed the journey.
