This is a great book—Sebastian Bach was a huge part of my adolescence and the man tells one heck of a story! I only wish he had told us more about the women who made an impact on his life. We heard so much about his Dad, which was so heartwarming! I just wish I had heard more about his mother, sister, and wives as people. Who knows, maybe they didn’t want him to? I guess we will never know. If it was that, and he was being respectful—more power to him. I just wanted to know what went wrong in his marriage, what it was like for his wife knowing he strayed—all of it. But he has the right to hold some things back.

Good book, crazy subject!

A detailed (very detailed) history of Phil Spector. But you will have to seek other sources for trail information, as this goes right up to when the trial was set to begin. I really wish he could have held off for the whole story—but it would have been years.

Don’t be fooled by my 4 stars!

This is one of the finest books I’ve ever listened to. I wasn’t a Stones fan—though I am now. I always associated Keef with the jokes comedians made about him. What an amazing man and storyteller. I can’t get past it, I want to hear more.

The only reason I didn’t do 5 was the change in voices. Wish one reader (Keith!) for all of it.

Never read a Christian romance before—but hooked now.

This book is excellent. I found it after purchasing the romance package—and quickly tiring of the same story told 20 ways. I decided to try something completely new, and I am so glad I did.

If you like Mr Darcy (and who doesn’t?), read this book. The writing is great, the characters realistic no matter the time depicted, and the story was believable. I love that these people are all flawed. I love that there is forgiveness. Excellent way to spend a few days.

Love the book, love TJR! Don’t like Ryan.

I’m sorry, this book was amazing—except for the character Ryan. Ugh. I love it so much—as I have discovered I love ALL her books. I just couldn’t stand this guy! I guess she was going for realistic? I don’t know. From the beginning I just couldn’t like him. I swear I tried! Ha

I have seen the movies, and I finally tried the book because I thought I would be less stressed for the tributes knowing basically what happens. But I wasn’t. I got drawn in like it was all new. Absolutely loved it. On to book 2!

Dang good.

This book is REALLY funny. The story works—and I don’t usually like “romance novels”. It’s just fun to listen to. If you need something light and enjoyable, get it.

So? So-so.

I have never read/heard a book with no likeable character, someone to root for—until now. The main character—I couldn’t tolerate her. She is naive to the point of being unreal, and most of the book is played out by fantasies in her own head. I am a daydreamer, I get it—but this is beyond even me. The choices she makes, what she chooses to accept and then protect—just no. I’m sorry, just no. No supporting character was fleshed out enough to be likeable, and everyone made all the wrong choices it seemed. Ugh. I’m sorry, I wanted to like this. But I just can’t. So. So-so.

(Please note: I am 38) I hated this book for at least the beginning 3/4 of it. I hate how dramatic the characters are, how stupid the "problems" are, how everything is drawn out of proportion. I hate that no one actually talks about anything important. But--it all makes sense now here at the end. Do I love it? Nope. But I don't hate it. I sort of like it. The message, the resolution, definitely. I just wish it would've been easier getting there. I think I'm too old to see it right?

How unexpected--I am not a country music fan, a Waylon fan--I didn't even know who Jessi Colter was I confess. The outline just appealed to me, that a country music celebrity made a book about spirituality. I absolutely loved this.
