I don't often write reviews anymore, but, I felt compelled to write this one. While the story was pretty good, good enough to hold my attention to the end, and I liked that the male voice was done by a man and the female voice a woman, and the male narrator had a decent voice, but the lilts to his voice and the timing of them were very awkward. I know very little about narration or voice performance, however, I have listened to over 3,000 audiobooks and it seems to me if he had just talked normally instead of what seemed to be trying to perform, I think it would have been much better. That said, I usually give up before the end if I can't tolerate the narration and just return the book, but it says a lot that I stuck it out to the end.

Hope, if he continues to narrate, he gets better. I'd love to listen to the second book in the series but not looking forward the many hours of him again.

Ever notice that sometimes a guy will do something really stupid, like let the love of his life slip through his fingers? Yeah. I'm that guy. But the instant I run into her again I've got one goal and one goal only—a second chance. The plan? Go big or go home. Fine, at first glance, stripping naked at my ex-girlfriend's place of work might not seem like the brightest way to win her heart again. But trust me on this count—she always liked me best without any clothes on. And sometimes you've got to play to your strengths when you're fighting an uphill battle.

This book felt like "a filler". There was positively no substance to it. Don't get me wrong, LB is one of my favorite authors and I have listened to everything she has offered on Audible, however, this disappointed. It seemed as though she was in a hurry to get a book out in order to not loose her readers/listeners…

The performers were great and made the book an easy listen, but credit or money seemed wasted on this one. This will, however, not keep me from listening to future books unless they continue to be of the same caliber.

With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn't interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. But when Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet's misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

I really have enjoyed Ms. Huntings books in the past, however, this was one was way too predictable….I did enjoy it nonetheless. However, Muffy Newton should have narrated the entire book; I'm sorry Mr. Everett, but your female voice was much better than your male voice.

Mr. Everett just does not have the necessary deep, sexy voice required for this type of book. I finished it, but won't listen to any more books he narrates.

The club comes first. I've lived by those words my whole life - assumed I'd die by them, too, and I never had a problem with that. My Reaper brothers took my back and I took theirs, and it was enough. Then I met her. Tinker Garrett. She's beautiful, she's loyal, and she works so damned hard it scares me sometimes. She deserves a good man - one better than me. I can't take of her yet, because the club still needs me. There's another woman, another job, another fight just ahead.

Love the author; love the Reapers' stories and love Tatiana Sokolov's narration; however, this story lacked the pizzazz, drama, and suspense the other's had and not a fan of SC's narration.

It felt like JW was in a hurry to please her fans with another Reaper's saga and just really missed the mark, in my opinion.

The other nannies in this city don't call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around. I can't risk my job for a chance at something more, can I? But I don't know how to resist him much longer either.

LB is one of my favorite authors, AA & SY are some of my favorite performers, however, this story just didn't have enough pizazz for me. It was very sweet; the story was very sweet and very predictable and if it hadn't have been so short I probably would not have finished it. Not because it was bad and not because the writing wasn't good, there just was enough substance for me.

This won't keep me from listening to future books of LB's as I have listened to all Audible has to offer. It felt like this author may have been either tired of writing and needed something to fill the void between more substantial books or it was written to give her fans something so she wouldn't loose them but her heart wasn't in it.

After growing up dirt poor in a seedy Chicago neighborhood, Matt Tremont seemingly has it all now - brains, brawn, and billions. And, most importantly, Noah, his five-year-old son, the one good outcome of a disastrous relationship that destroyed his last ounce of trust. The only thing he's lacking is the perfect nanny for his son. And Ariana Jones is absolute perfection. Utterly enchanting. Completely fascinating. And totally off limits.

Don't get me wrong, I adore Bella Andre and she is my go-to author when I want something less suspenseful and a bit on the lighter side, however, even though I thought the heroine was great, I thought Matt came off a bit weak (except in bed) and the plot was so much less dynamic and exciting than anything I have listened to by her and I believe I have everything of hers out in audio. The storyline was okay but didn't come close to living up to her normal standard of excellence.

Eva Kaminsky's narration was, as always, superb.

When you're a defense attorney in Washington, DC, you see firsthand how hard life can be and that sometimes the only way to survive is to be harder. I have a reputation for being cold, callous, and intimidating - and that suits me just fine. In fact it's necessary when I'm breaking down a witness on the stand.

Of course, as usual, Sebastian York, doing both male and female voices was fantastic. There is no better, in my opinion. Oh, I think that Jason Carpenter does a lovely, sexy male part, but I'm not sure about his female voice, don't think I've ever heard it.

Hooray for all involved…..author, narrator. What a pleasant experience.

They don't call him the Jury Charmer for nothing - with his Southern drawl, disarming smile, and captivating green eyes, he's a hard man to say no to. Men want to be him, and women want to be thoroughly cross-examined by him.

I almost didn't listen to this and/or Sustained due to all the negative reviews. But, after all these years of using Audible for housecleaning, gardening, and traveling, I've learned that if I am familiar with an author and have enjoyed his/her books in the past, then it behooves me to have faith in that author and find out for myself. So glad I did.

Yes, Stanton came off as a "dick", but I could see how living a 1,000 miles away from his "childhood" sweetheart even though they shared a child and only Skyped and talked on the phone, then when he did go "home" he got to be welcomed back into the old groove that he left and thought he shut his heart off from all other women, that he would believe he was still in love with the person and had no idea until Sofia came along and things got "real" that he realized he was in love with the past. To this listener it was like he stepped back in time when he went back to Sunshine, Mississippi, back into his youth, his football hero years, and back to his girl. Nothing changed. He lived in two worlds. I got it. Well, enough about that.

I want to commend the author for her writing; for her use of words and descriptions. The writing was thoughtful, strong, portrayed the feelings each person was experiencing and had pull that placed me in each situation.

The narration was fantastic. Jason Carpenter has that slow, slight southern drawl and when he spoke I could only imagine that butter wouldn't melt in that mouth but that mouth could definitely melt other things. Charlotte Penfield was also good and I am so glad that man narrated the man's voice and a woman the women's. I loved this book, contrary to what other said. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that there has only been two out of two hundred books that warrant and have earned that rating. This only & Sustained came close.

Making a woman feel "oh god that's good" is the name of the game, and if a man can't get the job done, he should get the hell out of the bedroom. When I listen to a book I want a captivating story, excellent character building, and an unbelievably incredible narration, but what really grabs me is the flow of words. I'm extremely impressed with LB's flow of words, and her description of thoughts and feelings were unique and quirky. I loved the banter between Harper and Nick; the play on each others' comments and phrases. And, Mr. York, well, it goes without saying that Mr. York did it again with his performance. Hooray and congrats to them both.

Can't believe he didn't get Male Narrator Audie Award for the year. He doesn't just narrate, he performs. Even his female voices are good.
