Intriguing story with lovable and believable characters. The main characters are real but very romantic, even the supporting cast is fun and entertaining. The romance is funny and very sensual but with insecurities and conflicts to make for a heartbreaking finish. The narrator is wonderful- this is a perfect audible getaway! Definitely 5 STARS!

The Maiden Lane series is entertaining, sensual, and captivating. Hoyt continues the characters from book to book. Here the main characters are scared and lonely, they don’t want to love again. Wonderful tale about moving on and enjoying passion the 2 time around. Unfortunately, the narrator is not as good as the story. At times it was distracting and difficult to continue. Overall, excellent writing makes it worth the frustration.

Adam Rutledge, Viscount d'Arque, really rather loathes Christmas. The banal cheerfulness. The asinine party games. And, worst of all, the obligatory trip to the countryside. His grandmother, however, loves the holiday - and Adam loves his grandmother, so he'll brave the fiercest snowstorm to please her. But when their carriage wheel snaps, they're forced to seek shelter at the home of the most maddening, infuriating, and utterly beguiling woman he's ever met.
