I'm only on chapter one, so if i get any further (I don't know, another chapter?) I'll review it again. And I've skipped 14 minutes of it so far, as well. The writing and the story are (ok, so far) not good. I don't normally do romance novels, so if all you're looking for is to "get off" then mayne you'd like it? I'm a writer though and it's terrible. I feel like I'm listening to a little kid painfully trying to write what they think people want to hear (sexually). Ug.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her, and leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want.

I've recently begun to love audiobooks...but this narrator is HORRIBLE! She reads so flat that it's hard to even hear the words...

I own the paperbacks too and have read them many times but still I bought the audio books because I can listen while I'm at work (I clean houses). Love these books!
