It was an added pleasure that she was pulled into some murder cases while there. I will never think of puffer fish or sushi in the same light. I was really impressed by the narration from Kelley Hazen. She gives each character a distinguishable voice, so that I know exactly who is speaking. I also really like how this is a standalone listen and a continuation of the series. The murder cases are new crimes with some unexpected twists. Written while Irving was living abroad in Birmingham, England, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was first published in 1820. It is among the earliest examples of American fiction with enduring popularity, especially during Halloween because of a character known as the Headless Horseman believed to be a Hessian soldier who lost his head to a cannonball in battle.
