The first book of its kind, Peak Performance combines the inspiring stories of top performers across a range of capabilities - from athletic, to intellectual, to artistic - with the latest scientific insights into the cognitive and neurochemical factors that drive performance in all domains. In doing so, Peak Performance uncovers new linkages that hold promise as performance enhancers but have been overlooked in our traditionally-siloed ways of thinking.

Rarely does a book break down "peak performance" with both science-backed studies paired with an excellent presentation of the subject matter. Peak Performance is outstanding and has become one of my go-to books to listen to, and read again and again. It gives you a lot of the how, and the why, of getting the best out of yourself, much of which goes against conventional wisdom. Love the book and want to thank the authors for their work.

I've now listened to this short and therefore impactful audio book eight times. I plan on listening again and again from now until its words become ingrained in my thinking. That's how great I think this gem of a book is. Some ideas you've read elsewhere and some ideas you won't hear anywhere else, all with Mark Cuban's own brand of wisdom and fire. All in all its one of the best business and personal growth books I've ever come across. I bought the Kindle version as well just to mark it up with highlighting. It's no wonder Mark Cuban has been so "lucky."

Of the many, many books I've read, listened to, or both, Extreme Ownership for me ranks in the rarefied air of maybe 5 to 6 books I'll re-read several times a year until I own its valuable information.

It gives you clear, actionable instructions that work in many, if not every facet of personal and business life. What's more, it does so with compelling battlefront accounts that understandably relate to everyday life.

Thanks to the authors for their service as Navy Seal soldiers and for their service thereafter in sharing their knowledge through this invaluable book. We can't (and won't) all be decorated and revered Navy Seals, but we can all be our best selves. This book is a must-own, must-read and re-read for anyone looking to improve and begin at the source - one's self.

(Update: I've now been thru this book, Un-F-yourself, several times. It's magical! Yes, magical... It cuts through the fluff and helps the reader get perspective thru a reality check, and hope thru not only better thinking but linking thought to action with no room for excuses - getting leverage over yourself, in other words.)

Like many of you, I read and listen to a lot of books, too many maybe. Still, only a handful of the many reads standout as fundamentally useful and transformative. Un-F-yourself is in that small group of useful and transformative reads. And at that, it's the single best book on action, motivation, defining priorities and overcoming procrastination. It's my no. 1 book on those books among many, others, that specifically deal with these subjects.

It's not only a must read in my mind, but one of the few books that I plan on reading and rereading (or listening to) 5-6 times a year... forever. It's awesome!

Written with love for children, parents and family above all, which is one of the reasons I enjoyed this book so much. If love and genuine respect are missing then even the best efforts break down. Again, these are the very reasons why I think the advice given in 1-2-3 Magic works so well.

So in addition to solid advice on love and mutual respect between parent and child, the conversation is also entertaining and lively. I found myself not only learning but laughing out loud at some of Dr. Phelan's witty takes on the challenges of parenting.

Most important of all the advice just works. In 1 short week of implementing 123 with my very headstrong 10 yr-old, the results are unmistakable... My 10 yr-old knows who's in charge and even seems to like the transference of power as if inherently knowing all my child ever wanted was the right kind of firm but loving direction. As for how it works on my even younger kids? Magic for the younger kids too.

I've now read, re-read and listened to the "3% Man" a total if 19 times over the past 18 months. Forget about the 10 to 15 times recommended by the author (repetition to internalize the content)... I've committed to listening and or reading this phenomenal "work" a minimum if 4x a year forevermore. It's that transformational fir men and relationships!

There are many good relationship books out there but this is the best, far and away. Corey doesn't take short cuts and he doesn't generalize - ever... This is how you know he's confident the information he's teaching you is spot-on right. The 60-plus chapters and countless situational, step-by-step instructions that he provides are bold, counterintuitive and ultimately results oriented. No other book is bold enough to tackle not only the ideas of male-female relationships and masculinity, but the copious how-to instructions that follow. It's right on, time tested and brilliant!

To the author: Thank you Corey Wayne for doing the work over many years. Your work has helped me and so many who have chosen to be a student of what you teach.

For those wondering if they should take the time, spend the money, or give up the modern beta male dogma that we've had crammed into our heads from a well-intentioned society... Get the book. Period. I read and listen to hundreds of books and maybe even over a thousand books, on self-help, relationships, success, philosophy, history etc. and there is no better book to get you out of your head and engaged in relationships in a more healthy, happy and productive way.

The best bar none.

Models is the first book ever written on seduction as an emotional process rather than a logical one, a process of connecting with women rather than impressing them. It's the most mature and honest guide on how a man can attract women without faking behavior, without lying and without emulating others. A game-changer.

I've read and reread many well known psychology books on codependency, narcissism and healthy interdependence (aka "good relationships"), and Models for me takes its place as one of the best, how to fix yourself, books I've ever read.

Sure, the premise is about attracting women from a man's perspective, but that's just the hook as this book accurately describes the need for honesty with one's self and honesty with those we interact with and especially with women. In explaining why honesty empowers you and why honesty matters, I found many useful insights into personal independence that parallel many psychology self-help books by PhDs and experts. Take out the chapter on sex and one night stands (not that the author is wrong for including these topics) as they are a bit of a detraction, and you have one of the most practical self-help books I've ever read for needy, and/or codependent "nice guys."

Models is a great book for men in general.

For any believing Christian or believer in a benevolent universe (and all points in between), this book is a gift of positivity, hope and self-empowerment. For Christians especially, Joel Osteen uses biblical scriptures to teach a God of hope, abundance, and action. I have personally read, listened to, and annotated this book probably 30 times. The message is both simple and deep; believe in yourself because God believes in you. Think, speak and do good and the cosmos (God) will answer in kind. I've read many of Joel Osteen's very good books, but no other book of his (or anyone's for that matter) hits home so clearly in so few words. Not only a must-read, but a must-reread, over and over!

When reading material in the psychology realm it's easy to get lost in clinical terms and dry material. The Wizard of Oz... takes clinical material, important and heady material, and breaks it down not only in an understandable way, but in a way that allows the reader to actually implement and benefit from the material. The author also offers hope for all sides of the NPD equation; the codependent spouse or child, while simultaneously doing the same for the narcissist.

Most NPD reading I've done had been heavy on the "beware of the NPD" rhetoric... Eleanor Payson wants to throw a lifeline to all including the narcissist, while making it very clear that the narcissist may never grab ahold of the line... at least here it's understood and offered. This book has helped me immensely. The chapter summaries make for some of the best psychological material I've ever read.

All in all for me, I don't know where my personal journey will take me given my 18 yr marriage to an NPD spouse, but I do feel better equipped to not repeat my own mistakes thanks to this wonderful book.
