not very much like the movie. actually a different kind of story in general. it definitely is a fun and interesting thought provoking journey in to American history and its psyche. it is definitely outlandish so one should suspend their disbelief and open their minds to this wonderful tale of someone simple who figures out what life is about over time.

This series is so wonderful. Markus Heitz is an amazing wordsmith capable of putting the listener/reader in to the scenes that are taking place. The Narrator Neil Dickson is extremely talented and brings the each character to life expertly. I for one recommend this entire series to anyone who enjoys high fantasy. I definitely cannot wait for the next installment to come to audible.
