Would you consider the audio edition of Written in My Own Heart's Blood to be better than the print version?

Yes, Ms Porter brings this and all of the series books to life. You can almost see it.

What did you like best about this story?

It answered .."what happened". From the last book.that you had to wait YEARS to find out.

What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Everything. She holds you in her spell , you don't want to stop listening then you're sorry it is over at the end.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"The past comes again.".........".the past is your future".............".the past is not always set in stone."

Any additional comments?

When is the next one. ....? If you have not read any of this series start at the beginning or at least start with the first book. You will get more out of this one. But if you start with this one you will understand it fine. But you will WANT to read them all. You will definently get you monies worth with this one. Great PERFORMANCE MS Porter.

If you could sum up The Scottish Prisoner in three words, what would they be?

poor narrators

What did you like best about this story?

A great story from a different point of view, and more insight in to those lost years without Claire.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jeff Woodman and Rick Holmes ?

no ...................or maybe if they got better with more practice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I could not quite past the poor narration

Any additional comments?

they.. the narrators should have listened to Ms Porter's reading of any part of the Outlander series. This would have given them some in sight into what the readers would be expecting. It's a shame a good book was down graded by the reading. The narrator made Jamie seem like mindless Scott.
I just could not see the people in the story like I could with Ms Porter's reading of the original series. If you like this book you need to listen to the complete unabridge Outlander series with a GREAT narrator, Diana Porter.

In 1836, when she was nine years old, Cynthia Ann Parker was kidnapped by Comanche Indians. This is the story of how she grew up with them, mastered their ways, married one of their leaders, and became, in every way, a Comanche woman. It is also the story of a proud and innocent people whose lives pulsed with the very heartbeat of the land. It is the story of a way of life that is gone forever.

I liked the book but the narrator should not make so many people sould like a cranky old women, even young boy sounded like craky old women. She would have done better to NOT use that voice snd just read the book. The rest of the reading ws good except the Cranky Old Lady Voice she would do distracted from the story. Better book if rerecorded.

This is a great end to the story, but you should listen to the prior books in the series. Excellant series not quit as good as the Outlander series by D. Gaabaldon but in the same style and time.

If you like this one and have not read "Outlander Series" do so you will be rewarded whith another great series. I like how the last book completed the series with out leaving you wondering what happen to the family. It is all completed in a interested way.

Good listening, though I do not know about the 2 credits. It would be a ..."must read" if it was 1 credit.

Jamie Fraser knows from his time-traveling wife Claire that, no matter how unlikely it seems, America will win the Revolutionary War. But that truth offers little solace, since Jamie realizes he might find himself pointing a weapon directly at his own son - a young officer in the British army. And Jamie isn't the only one with a tormented soul - for Claire may know who wins the conflict, but she certainly doesn't know whether or not her beloved Jamie survives.

After the last books I was expecting more. I did enjoy the book but not as COMPLETELY is the prior ones.

I know you can't hit it out of the park every time, but this one left a lot of incomplete threads. I hope that Ms Gabaldon will tie up all the loose ends. There was just too many of them....Do not get me wrong I enjoyed the book and was sorry to see it end.

I feel like as I am waiting for a letter to come with more information from across the sea and through time, and who knows how long that will take or if it wll ever arrive.

NOT HER BEST WORK!! Please read the first ones in the series if you have not. That is EXCELLANT Reading.

...A good book. This is a good start to the series. A little slow in starting but worth the wait. I was so surprised by the "Outlook Series reference", by D. Gabaldon ,in the story line. I would recommend this book to anyone.

The down side is that this is 2 credit/book and The Outlook series is only 1 credit/book( an excellent series in the same style.) Both worth the time as they are both long books and in a series. If this was 1 credit I would definitely finish this series. As I did the "Outland series." At 2 credits I have to think about it as it uses up my monthly amount and I can read it in a few days

Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love.
