A girls' night out means three things to me: drinking whiskey with my best friend, trying not to kill anyone, and keeping my magic hidden. A fae gladiator like me isn’t supposed to exist anymore. But my Friday night takes a bad turn when a lethally gorgeous fae - Ruadan - tries to assassinate me. He's known as the Wraith, and he's taken a vow of silence until he’s slaughtered the outlaws on his kill list. Outlaws like me. Ruadan lets me live on one condition: I have to earn my place at the Institute of the Shadow Fae.

Its one of those rare books that has you grinning the whole time. I thought the narration was excellent. I have listened to a lot of audio books and I had no problems with the narrator. I read this book when it came out, but this is my first time listening to the audio book. It was a very enjoyable experience.

I have listed to all of the books in the series so far and this will be the last. I just can't stand the main character, Anna. I just couldn't take who she killed in this book. She is too savage and immoral for my taste and I stopped listening to the book toward the end and didn't get around to finishing it for a while. I can't take Anna anymore so I am giving up on this series. Other than Anna this book was the best one in the series and the narration was good.

This is turning out to be a great book. I haven't finished it yet but I had to write a review because of the narrator. The narrator is great but when she does dialogue sometimes she makes these long pauses when she switches characters. I keep thinking the audio is cutting out. It is kind of annoying but otherwise the narrator is really good and the book is fun to listen to.
