The Stranger You Know
- By: Andrea Kane
- Narrated by: Angela Dawe
- Length: 10 hrs and 35 mins
It begins with a chilling phone call to Casey Woods. And ends with another girl dead. College-age girls with long red hair. Brutally murdered, they're posed like victims in a film noir. Each crime scene is eerily similar to the twisted fantasy of a serial offender now serving thirty years to life - a criminal brought to justice with the help of Forensic Instincts. Call. Kill. Repeat. But the similarities are more than one psychopath's desire to outdo another.

Any additional comments?
I could not listen to this story because of the narrator, Angela Dawe. For the most part, the only inflection she used was to drag the last word in every sentence out in at least two syllables with her voice rising in the middle of the word and lowering at the end of the word. It was otherwise, monotone. Over all, the manner in which the story was read was so distracting and annoying that I could not concentrate on the story. I had to stop listening.

Martin Reed is thoroughly average in every way. So how has he wound up with such a pathetic existence? Martin has no friends, no lovers, and no respect. Working as a senior accountant at Southern Toilet Supply and still living with his nagging mother, his sole source of excitement is the crime novels he cherishes. So immersed is Martin in these escapes that he fails to notice the crimes going on all around him.
Martin misunderstood hilarious!

Is this a joke?
What disappointed you about Martin Misunderstood?
It was so "out there" and so unrealistic, yet it was not funny. I kept thinking ... Is this a joke? The joke is on me. I used one credit for this trashy thing.
