Then Victoria realizes that her parents and little brother are still alive on Earth and she has to get to them before it is to late.

M K Eidem is becoming one of my favorite authors. I love the sound effects and multiple narrators just add to each book. There are the usual stories within stories and it is a surprise to see how each fits in with the overall story. Now I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

Cassandra Chamberlain has always stood out. It's hard not to at 6'1" and 165 pounds, with jet black hair and sapphire blue eyes. And if that isn't enough, she is also brilliant, graduating from Harvard at 15, teaching at MIT at 19, and up for the prestigious Magellan Award at 25. She's never really fit in. Not with her peers, not with her contemporaries, only with her family. But everything changes when the Earth is attacked, and Cassandra and her niece, Victoria, are the only survivors. Suddenly the smartest woman on the planet has to relearn everything.

What would you do if the earth was destroyed? In Cassandra's case she is saved by the admiral of an alien fleet and his son. So begins their story and what a story it is! As Cassandra and her niece are trying to adjust to a new life after the earth was destroyed, they find they have an enemy on board the battle cruiser. In the mean time the admiral discovers a traitor from his own planet. Are they connected?? You will have to listen to find out, because if you have read any of my review, you know I don't like to give the book away. I will tell you this, if you like a good love story (there are 2 in this story), mystery, adventure, and getting the bad guys, then you will like this book.

M. K. Eidem has done another great job of building the storyline, people, and a new alien race and planet. There are many twists and turns in this story and yes sound effects are included. The use of 4 narrators is also a smart idea as the number of people in the story would be to many for any 1 narrator to be able to do justice to. I look forward to the next book in this series and I am also waiting for the next book in the Tornian series.

Ynyr was a third male, and while he was a fit and worthy warrior, he had always known that no female would ever join with him. Too many looked down on his family because of his mother's refusal to leave his manno. He knew Ull would be able to overcome this because he was a first male and would one day be a lord; maybe even Vali, since he was a second male, but neither Ynyr nor his younger brother, Zev, would ever be acceptable to a female. The most they could hope for was to serve their house with honor, but that all changed with the arrival of the females from Earth.

While Lisa did try to warn Ynyr and Abbey, they still run into problems and Abbey shows she can have a inner strength that she didn't even know she had. This book is not as action packed as the first 2 were, but that would not have fit Abbey's personality. This is the story of them starting to build their new house and the trouble they face along the way. They do get some help or hints from the Goddess and her mate (He doesn't like being called a God) along the way and we get more of the ancient history of the Tornians. There is also a surprise towards the end and we get a glimpse of what a great house they will become. In the end, another Tornian male falls to the love of an earth woman. Way to go Earthlings!!!

The only thing I didn't like about this book was that they changed the narrators and I don't think they did as good a job as the original 2 did. For example, I found I lost track sometimes because they pronounce Ynyr's name different then it was in "Grim", which is why I only gave the performance 3 stars. But over all it is a good book and worth the credit.

Pia decides to keep the agreement reached at the Washington Summit. While the Light Fae Queen tries to get her to put off the visit, she doesn't tell her why she needs to. It is only when Dragos is attacked and infected that Tatiana tells them the truth. Pia only has hours to heal Dragos before she must take the injection to keep from losing the new baby and her healing power becomes suppressed. As Pia tries several times and Dragos own abilities fight the infection, we get little peaks at the new "Stink Pot." Whether it's Pia's healing or Dragos own or a combination of both, he does overcome the infection and then he goes "On the Hunt"....look out bad guys!!

This was such a fun book and we learn more about Tatiana and her twin sister. I think the twin sister had better watch out, she has made the Dragon made this time. As we have learned in other books, it is not a good thing to have the Dragon mad at you.

Thea Harrison and Sophie Eastlake have both done their usual great jobs. I'm glad there are only a few more days before Liam's story comes out. Also, I hope at some time in the near future Ms. Harrison writes a book about Liam and the Stink Pot. Dragos is going to have his hands full with those two, I can't wait to see it!

This whole series is just so good!! But I really like these short stories about Dragos, Pia, and Liam. We get to see sides of Dragos that are not in the other books. In this one, Dragos and Pia go to Washington for a summit meeting and Dragos doesn't kill anyone!! Surprise, Surprise!! Even though I think he wants to, but he plays nice or at least as nice as he can. When a murder occurs in their Washington home, he not only keeps it together, something I didn't think he could do, He proves the Wyr could not have had anything to do with it. But it's the background story that really catches the interest. I won't go into that part, you will just have to listen and find out what that is.

My only disappointment is that even though the second book in this series of short stories has been released, Audible doesn't have it yet or any of the other books that are listed. Please Audible get all the rest of these books. A lot of us (your listeners) really like this series!!

Emperor Wray Vasteri was the ruler of the Tornian Empire. His house had ruled the empire ever since the great infection, which struck over 500 years ago, and he feared he would be the last. The number of compatible females was dwindling faster than anyone knew. If they could not find compatible females soon, their entire civilization would cease to exist. It was the reason he agreed to meet with Liron, the emperor in Kaliszian space.

At first I was a little let down by this book....I think "Grim" is a little better then "Wray". But then I realized that both books are good, they were just released in the wrong order. Grim is the continuation of the Tornians story, were Wray is the beginning of the story. In Wray we get some of the answers that were left open in Grim.

Wray finds Kim on a slaver's ship when he is on is way home from a meeting with another emperor. She has been beaten, abused, and nearly dead. While taking her back to his ship for more medical treatment, their shuttle is shot down and they crash on a small planet and before they can be rescued, a fierce storm sets in and they are trapped in a cave until the storm passes. So their story begins. While they are trapped in the cave, Wray explains some of the history of his people to Kim and she tells Wray about her family and her dog Warrior. The only thing Wray doesn't tell her is that he is the emperor and it nearly costs him Kim's trust and love. I won't go any further, because I always hate review that give the whole book away. I'll just add that I love the parts were the Great Goddess interacts with both Kim and Wray.

M K Eidem has a great series going with these books and I truly hope Audible gets the rest of them. I enjoy the background sound effect, the people and the worlds he has created. I am also glad they use both male and female narrators, since few narrators can do both parts and to them well.

I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do and now I have to wait for the next book to come out.

While everyone is talking about Seth and Roland's appearance in this story, they failed to recognize that Marcus and Robert are also in this book. If you have not heard any of the Immortal Guardians, then you will not know who these people are. But that will not take away from this book as Robert is the only one that stays with this book and we have not gotten his whole story yet.

This story takes place in the late 1100's and is the story of Dillion and his sorceress Alyssa. The people fear her, call her Witch, and think she is an old lady. Dillion also thinks she is a old lady until the night she heals him from a mortal injury and almost dies. Then he finds out that she is not the old lady he thought she was and his love for her starts to grow. Together they face danger and the people's fear of her as Dillion must find a way to make her his Lady.

I have to say that one of my favorite parts of this book is how Robert begins to change the peoples fear of Alyssa even as he overcomes his own. I hope we get Robert's full story next.

It's never smart to piss off a vampire, but this time they pissed off the King of the Night Kind and then kidnapped his former Lover (whom he still loves). Yes this is Julian's story and not what I was expecting in his story. In all the other books Julian is shown to be cold and hard, but in this book, we see another side of Julian that I did not think he was capable of. When Millie is kidnapped, Julian surrenders himself to her kidnapper. Now they have to work together to get free and along the way they find that they still love each other.

In this book we find out what caused Julian and Millie's break-up, what caused the division between Julian and his Sire, and that there is more to Millie then just a "spoiled brat." In another word, this is a great addition to the series. But as in all the other books, there are more question to be answered. So I now have to wait for the next book and wonder who's story will be next.
