When Beatrice Trixie Jordan replies to a personal ad, she meets Jacob Grace, a charming, effervescent 30-something free-spirit writer passionately seeking life. He possesses his own turns of phrase and ways of thinking and feeling that dissonantly harmonize with Trixie's off-center vision. As they rollercoaster through the joys and furies of their wrenching romance, they try to come to terms with the hurt brought about by both of their distant fathers who, in different ways, forsook them.

This book was amazing. This author really got me - from the very beginning and the acknowledgements....I just really enjoyed this story. I laughed. I cried. I am still crying a week later at all that this couple went through. I think the ending was what I expected though didn't want...and I loved it! Jacob really stole my heart and left me with a God Shaped hole, too.

I enjoyed this story though the narrator didn't quite have enough difference in his voice for all the characters. I think the story was written well and the 2nd chance trope was executed with style.

This book literally shook my soul. I fell hard for Kacey & Jonah quickly and was so wrapped up in their stories it was hard to get out of the car even when I got home from work - or any other number of random car trips just so I could get a few more minutes of listening in!!! I am so very thankful for the chance to read this book - even if it broke a little piece of me, it was absolutely worth it!!! <3

After yet another adoption falls through, Gabe is ready to give up, and Shahid isn't far behind him. Apparently, being a gay couple is just one strike too many for the powers that be. When their friend Kendra offers to carry their baby for them, both men balk at first but gradually warm to the idea. Especially Gabe, whose bisexuality is open to the chemistry among the three of them.

Gabe and Shahid have been together for years, but continue to hit roadblocks trying to adopt a baby. Since Gabe is bi-sexual they decide to try the old fashion way with their friend Kendra...we all know this is destined for trouble!

I enjoyed this story because I could feel the emotions right along with the three main characters. It was great that it was told in all three points of view and I could really get in their heads. The male narrator did not use enough distinction at times for me to know which guy’s POV we were supposed to be listening to sometimes.

This is the first book by me from this author, but I wouldn’t put reading another out of the question. She really pulled me into this story and I’m so glad I listened to it. These characters definitely faced some challenges, but I loved how they worked through all of it.

Jason and Blake knew each other years ago when Jason tutored Blake so he could pass his high school math class. They haven’t seen or spoken to each other in years, but when they are randomly hooked up again, it’s like no time has passed - for Blake at least.

I enjoyed this story though it was hard to distinguish the point of view and who was “talking” without more voice difference from the narrator and context clues from the author. I might have had an easier time if I had read it rather than listened, but I still enjoyed the book.

It was a quick rekindling and the awkwardness of the situations were cute. Blake was sweet and obviously had feelings for Jason. I loved the moment when Jason walked into the hotel room to discover all of the crazy food and wonder who in the world he was meeting….and the realization of who it was.

I enjoyed the story a great deal. Derek and Elliott connected immediately in the airport and watching them drift through the beginnings of their relationship was fun and entertaining. Elliott and Derek were almost complete opposites in personality - Elliott was a planner with lists and goals. Derek was a by the seat of his pants kind of guy enjoying life to the fullest. Putting them together seemed natural.

The story flowed well and I really enjoyed getting Derek’s point of view in the last novel, BUT it was hard to distinguish who was talking/thinking without more difference in voice/inflection from the narrator. Had I been reading, I think it would have been more clear who was talking, but sometimes I found myself wondering who was saying what.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that will make you fall in love every chapter while keeping the action going as well.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Creed?

The first scene that took place in Creed's new hometown (I don't want to give up any of the story) was one of my favs for sure.

What does Mackenzie Cartwright bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like how she was able to distinguish between Sylie's voice and Creed's while delivering the story with a great deal of emotion.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I definitely laughed more than once. though I never cried, I was teary eyed a few times with some of the scenes reflecting on their pasts.

Any additional comments?

This story was a great first read/listen from an author that I have heard about non-stop for some time now. I wish there was more Creed because he really stole a piece of my heart in this one! <3

Everybody knows Logan O'Toole, world famous porn star. Except then Devi Dare pops into my world, and pretty soon I'm doing things that aren't like me - like texting her with flirty banter and creating an entire web porn series just so I can get to star in her bed. Again. And again. With Devi, my entire universe shifts, and the more time I spend with her, the more I realize that Logan O'Toole isn't the guy I thought he was. So maybe I'm not the guy you thought I was either.
