found this author because his books kept popping up in front of me in odd places and quite frequently. I picked up book one of The Clifton Chronicles and now I can't wait to read the rest of them! Love the characters love the narrator and especially love the story! highly recommend!!

This was the first book I've read by this author and not sure I would read another. The storyline was great, but the dialogue was way overdone and the use of the "f" word excessive. Jake was a good guy but the word neanderthal comes to mind with his use of "my woman" and other like phrases. Then there was the detail. Josie sounded like she was born in the Victorian age. I enjoy descriptive writing but this author gives such minute details it was tiresome. Then there was the sexual parts. Way too much detail there. I wasn't looking for porn. Leave a little to the imagination.
