i have enjoyed the series but this one was frustrating. Without spoiling- the super experts miss a major obvious clue (and the author seemed to put it out there then forget to tie it back in) and Ava's self-destructive enabling of her sister is becoming hard to sympathize with. There is just nothing in the relationship building that makes her self-flagellation relatable. Gonna try the next one but I hope it doesnt continue on its current path.

As part of the ATI Management Bureau team protecting the world from fairy tales gone awry, she's juggling her unwanted new status as a Snow White, dealing with a potentially dangerous Pied Piper, and wrangling a most troublesome wicked stepsister - along with a budding relationship with Jeff, her teammate.

Phenomenal! Slow to start in book one but stick with it! SO much more than the average fun read. I admit to having some difficulty getting enraptured by this series. However, once it got under way in book one, I fell in ALL the way. I have true admiration for the intricate, utterly unique story line. Wonderful.

I just cannot finish this, and I am NOT hard to please. I can enjoy most books of this genre but not this. I keep skipping chapters trying to get past the utter stupid, selfish, spoiled, obnoxiousness of this main character. I keep thinking that the author must be starting her at a really stupid place so she can be seen to Grow. Tragically , after jump listening all the way to chapter 13, she remains so teeth grittingly shallow that I simply cannot keep listening.

Seriously, I the whole thing could have been five-ten chapters. Seemed like this was just a broken out pie've fluffed up with nonsense for the sake of making money. Disappointed. If if the next one has the same stunt, I won't read another.

For as long as Magnolia Steele can remember, the past has had its hooks in her. Her time as a Broadway actress in New York City was an escape that ended in public humiliation, but now that she's back home in Franklin, Tennessee, she's feeling the grip of the two incidents that stole her innocence. The first was the disappearance of her father when she was a teen, who left home for a meeting and never came back. The other incident...well, her memories have returned, but it's best left where it belongs - in the past.
