I am going to personally write down the narrator of this book and swear to never listen to any books she reads ever again! Like nails on a chalkboard when she does her “woman“ voice, reminding me of my whiny children. She does a great man voice but I just can’t handle another book with this annoying voice. The story was seriously boring and I barely got through it. Very hard to believe too. I mean Cleopatra, seriously?! Dumb!!! Not recommended.

So many things left to wonder about. She becomes more angel than human but only uses her conger abilities once and no other abilities come out?? Come on!! Her teenage reasoning made me wanna smack her. The narrator was constantly mixing up accents, not to mention her nasally voice and annoying breathing. There’s no mention to why some gargoyles can teleport and some can’t. I wouldn’t recommend this series since I barely found the will to finish on double speed. Thankfully it’s was included in the romance package or I never would’ve gotten passed book one.

NOT worth a credit. I have no idea why there are so many good reviews for this book because it’s not warranted. If a friend recommended this book to me I would be questioning our friendship because it’s not good at all and I had to fast forward through it just to see if it was going to ever get better and it never did. I will not be reading any other books by this author because the writing was not up to par. Not enough time to invest in characters and even if there was enough time their situation seems highly unlikely and unbelievable. It made no sense that he had to get tortured every night in that situation. I found the main girl character not even worth saving. Sometimes the writing was so bad I couldn’t tell who was talking or what the hell was happening. Don’t waste your credit.
