Started it as soon as the preorder appeared in my library. Couldn’t stop listening to it, so I literally finished the book in one session.
Loved the story, loved the characters, loved the narration! Need the next one now! Any ETA on when Kathleen Early will narrate book 3?

Fairly intriguing story, BUT with nagging irritations

The initial part of the book felt very similar to the first in this series: a murder of suspicious circumstances, a writer in over his head and a detective of arrogant intelligence. So far, so good!

However, I couldn’t recall the narrator having quite as annoying voices for many of the women in the first book, nor that the our main character was so completely incapable of standing up for himself. It was beyond irritating, and I had to put away the book several times and listen to something else in an attempt to soothe my frustration.

3 stars in addition to leaving me doubtful of whether I will be picking up any additional books in this series....

Wow, this book. Non stop action.
We finally seem to be in a place where most of the relationships seem to be ironed out well enough to focus the majority of the book on the plot and the overall world that Briggs has created.

I’ll be honest, ever since the “Christie” book debacle, I’ve been somewhat struggling with the Mercy Thompson series. Don’t get me wrong, I was still enjoying the books, just somehow felt that they weren’t as captivating as the previous ones.

But oh my, Storm Cursed blew my reservations right out of the water. This book is clever and funny and intriguing and simply so very alive. I loved every second of it and almost ‘read’ it in one go..

Lorelei King is great, as always. She has perfected the voices for each and every one of our beloved characters. Hands down, one of my favorite female narrators.

Get. This. Book. Now.
And be prepared to be unable to stop, once you started ;)

Loved the Hunger Games books ever since they originally were released. Tatiana is perfect for this narration. She does such a great job! I really, really, really hope she’ll be back to narrate the other two books.

You’ll come to love Livia, love and hope and rage and cry along side her. The story is was makes this worth listening to.

But the narrator was misplaced. It’s not that the author did an exceptionally bad job (probably a 3.5 star performance), just that this was a lot more suited for a female voice.
