The story would probably not be this slow as a paper back but the combination of the story, with the sad story details being repeated over and over again, together with the narrator’s voice (which is not really bad but low and slow), it makes me sleepy and after some time I notice that I have thought about something else and missed the last ten minutes. I have tried to listen to this book a few times now but always end up listening to another book. I will not finish this one.

A really nice story, not too dramatic but enough to draw you in. Fantastic narration by Isabel Keating!!

I usually really like Jenny Colgan, and the even though the novels she writes as Jenny T Colgan are a bit different I think I would still have enjoyed this one had it not been for the narration. The narrator sounds like she is trying so hard on the characters that it just sounds odd and silly to me, I couldn’t even finish the book and soon returned it.

I like a cute, cozy book but in this one nothing happens. They only talk at great length about their feelings. Over and over and over again. I puchased it because of Amanda Ronconi, she is an amazing narrator!!

Everyone keeps praising Donna Kauffman and according to several reviews this story does not seem to be up to her normal standard so I might try another one from her.

The story line was okay and it is a good book for commuting to and from work since it has an easy plot to remember even if you put the book away for a few days, during the weekend or so. However, Rachel Fulgitini did not do a good job when narrating the male voices. I had a hard time listening to her trying to sound like a Southern man. The accent she put on was not good. Sebastian York did a better job.

I have read/ listened to other books in the same series and just like the others this was a nice, uncomplicated listen with just enough sex to make it interesting. :) Excellent narrator!!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Nothing could have made this book a 4 star listening experience but if Justine Eyre would have narrated it at least I would have finished the book.

What was most disappointing about Sylvia Day’s story?

Usually Sylvia Day's books are great but this one felt like a "Fifty shades of grey"- wannabee..

Would you be willing to try another one of Jill Redfield’s performances?

God no!

Any additional comments?

This narrator was such a disappointment. Her voice is okay but the way she narrated the book was awful.
