How long does it take to get over your first love? Eight years should be long enough. My mind knows that, but there's no convincing my heart. Guys like Joel weren't supposed to fall for girls like me. He had his pick of women at University, but somehow the laws of nature were defied and we fell crazy in love. After graduation, Joel left to pursue his career in New York. He wanted me to go with him but my life was in London. We broke up and my heart split in two. I haven't seen or spoken to him since he left.

I could tell what was going to happen within the first 5 minutes of the book. Could have told the whole story in one sentence. Very boring and mostly about very young couple, who seemed immensely immature. Narrator did well.

I really felt for Tony, I think the author hated her. None of her friends seem very sympathetic. None cares why she feels how she does. All the lectures she gets are exhausting. Made me hate May,such a Princess, ugh!

The story was so bad I'm insulted the author thought this was publishable. The narrator did a good job and made characters likeable. Waste of good characters with this boring, go-no-where plot. Too bad because the previous was ok.

Samuel Clearwater, aka Preppy, likes bowties, pancakes, suspenders, good friends, good times, good drugs, and a good f--k. He's worked his way out from beneath a hellish childhood and is living the life he's always imagined for himself. When he meets a girl, a junkie on the verge of ending it all, he's torn between his feelings for her and the crippling fear that she could be the one to end the life he loves.

I have purposely not read any of these books, and I feel like I should have read this one instead of listened. Robert Shapiro was able to bring more to Preppy than Lance and I didn't realize before I purchased how much difference it would make it. As for the story, I didn't feel the connection between the H/h, unlike the other couples in the series. The cliffhanger was bland. I love this author, but this feels like a cash grab and unnecessary additiona to the series.

It was easy to call us forbidden and harder to call us soul mates. Yet I believed we were both. Forbidden soul mates. When I arrived in Edgewood, Wisconsin, I didn't plan to find him. I didn't plan to stumble into Joe's bar and have Daniel's music stir up my emotions. I had no clue that his voice would make my hurts forget their own sorrow. I had no idea that my happiness would remember its own bliss.

Everything about Fiona is forbidden. She's a party girl with dark desires. She's beautiful, irresponsible, and irresistible. She's my patient. I'm her therapist. I'm past wanting her. Past possessing her. Past bedding her or protecting her. I'm willing to be self-destructive, negligent, brave, audacious, and stronger than I ever believed possible. She's blunt force trauma to the heart. And she calls another man Master.

Was Forbidden worth the listening time?

I did listen to the whole thing, but it was tough. The subject matter is just beyond my comfort zone. If the point is for the reader to become desensitized to the sex and violence, but it was actually quite gross.

Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary. But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

Would you listen to The Wall of Winnipeg and Me again? Why?

I will listen to this multiple times I'm sure

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Wall of Winnipeg and Me?

Obviously, when she flipped him off to cheer him up.

Which character – as performed by Callie Dalton – was your favorite?

Vanessa is so real, and Callie provided the perfect tone for her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The most realistic portrait of sibling abuse I have ever read. The betrayal of the rest of the family by not acknowledging and supporting the victim is so common and heartbreaking. Kudos to Mariana Zapata.

Did not read, which may have been why I enjoyed it so much, I didn't have any ideas in my head of what they should sound like so was able to relax into it.

What did you like best about this story?

Just the right amount of drama, sexy times and comedy.

Have you listened to any of Elena Wolfe and Ray Chase ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Elena Wolfe is the best, always, and Ray was the perfect choice for the character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Less repetition of main themes. I felt like the author didn't think I was smart enough to follow so had to keep repeating everything.
