Worth the self imposed wait. I love Me Before You. I even Rohr the movie was pretty great spur all us readers knowing "the book is always better." So I made myself wait to read this book a really long time. I'm glad I did because I was so in love with Will that I wouldn't have been able to fall in love with Sam without the hiatus. How can you love every single character in a book including the objectification ones? I don't know but I did. The story really hit the nail on the head about what it's like to walk through grief and try to find a way to a new normal. It was also good at showing the many different ways we can love someone. I just really liked it. Also, the voice reading this book was pleasant. It went by rather quickly.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Louise Brealey read a love story in letters, played out against the backdrop of the Second World War. 'Can you feel, as you read these words, that I am thinking of you now; aglow, alive, alert at the thought that you are in the same world, and by some strange chance loving me.' A small blue box opened in 2008 revealed a wartime world of love, longing and frustration. Inside were bundles and bundles of letters written neatly on thin blue airmail paper or headed army notepaper.

What great love story. It was a short story but s long love affair. And super sweet. The letters were steamy hot in a very innocent way. I'm glad they found happiness and made it as a couple.

I first heard of Gaiman from Doctor Who. I don't usually read this genre, but I understand Gaiman is a master at Sci-fi. I thought this adaptation was very entertaining and might encourage me to read more by this author. Benedict was delicious and James McAvoy adorable. Everyone else was pretty great too.

Miracle Springs is a place of healing. Strangers flock there hoping that the natural hot springs, five-star cuisine, and renowned spa can cure their ills. And, if none of that works, they often find their way to Miracle Books, where, over a fresh-baked scone from the Gingerbread House bakery, they exchange their stories with owner Nora Pennington in return for a carefully chosen book. That's Nora's special talent: prescribing the perfect novel to ease a person's deepest pain and lighten their heaviest burden.

Mysteries are not what I'm usually drawn to but I do like books, book stores and book clubs. So that's how I ended up listening to this book. I liked the story well enough. It was a nice story to Lauren to while I was sewing. It was a clean book but did have a few places with strong language. Ok, swearing, I'm talking about swearing. It was pervasive, but there were a handful of times I would have cringed if my kids were listening. For the most part, I liked the narrator once I got used to a female voice. I guess most of what I've listened to until now has been read by males. I did NOT like when the narrator tried to do make voices. It was awkward. I had a few glitches when I listened to this book, but that could have been me moving around the house too far or other technical things of which I'm unaware . I probably will listen to the next book, if there is a next book.
