I enjoyed the first book quite a bit, but this one kinda let me down, especially at the end.

It really never explained Charlie's irrational behavior and utter disregard of the people around her worried about her, and the book's end led to more questions and didn't really answer anything that even happened in the beginning and during it. It just kinda made it a bit sloppy.

Scott, I know your heart was in the right place and will still go and listen to your third book when it comes out, but sadly this one just didn't work as well to me.

The reader though was great, and I'm glad she was still able to keep me immersed, even if the story let me down a little.

I was admittedly pretty excited to get this book and give it a read, being a fan of the game franchise. Though I saw many fans were disappointed due to it not connecting with the games, but Scott himself said it wasn't meant to entirely do so. And I think it was good, since it didn't "ruin" it for me.

For the book itself, I think the story was pretty good, but found it to be a bit weak in some parts, and the jumps between some characters seemed a bit out of place and disjointed, but not enough to turn me off from the book in the slightest.

Overall, great work Scott! And good job to the reader for the audio book; you definitely kept me immersed the whole time.

I absolutely loved this book. Rhett and Link narrating the book was definitely one of the best decisions for it, and the book made me smile, laugh, and feel a lot more mythical the whole time... I just hope my coworkers weren't too bothered by that XD

It was definitely incredible for Rhett and Link to have come so far and maintained such a solid friendship, and if you guys see this, give yourselves a pat on the back! You've more than earned it ^__^
