This is a completely amazing book which would be utterly life-changing if you let it be!

I gave the reader five stars but I was listening while driving and the audio clips they inserted into each chapter from the author or not clear enough nor the right volume to understand. I'm sure if I was on an airplane or gardening or some other place less noisy I might possibly have been able to understand. But those audio clips were just bonus and the reader did a fabulous job so I don't dare dock a star.

Will your spiritual armor withstand the forces of the enemy? As believers we are assigned special God gear for protection - the spiritual armor that is described by Paul in Ephesians 6. What many people don’t know is that the success of this gear is dependent upon our knowledge of these weapons and our insight into the warfare strategies of the adversary. In There’s a Crack in Your Armor, best-selling author Perry Stone shows you how to protect and effectively wield your spiritual armor.

The information in this book can be truly life changing if applied. One of the best books on the subject I have encountered thus far and I am an avid reader on the subject of spiritual warfare and the armor of God.

The reader is completely fantastic. I will actually look to see if he has read other books on subjects that interest me.

And I will listen to this one again and again.

Michelle, Steve's wife. :) I downloaded this book blindly (not knowing a thing about it, I didn't even read the summary) at the recommendation of my sister-in-law and the story of Alice's journey down the path of early onset alzheimer's disease was so masterfully told I had to remind myself it wasn't possible for the story to be an actual memoir! I will definitely be reading this again for sure! It's intelligent, fascinating and thought provoking all at the same time ~ from page one to the end, it doesn't disappoint. Alice gives a speech, not as a Harvard professor, but as a woman living with alzheimer's, that is so thoroughly compelling it actually had me in tears! The ending was a true revelation. Loved this book!

From Michelle Carver - I rarely write reviews but I simply had to with this book. This book is not a political book about her term under President Bush. And you don't need to agree with her politically to find yourself absolutely enthralled by this book. As the title suggests, this is a memoir of her family history, how she was raised, the choices her amazing parents made to help her become who she is today. Besides being a very engaging writer, I thoroughly enjoyed her narration as well. I found myself completely sucked into the book unable to turn it off even late into the night, like a good fiction novel might capture me. She was raised in Birmingham, Alabama during the civil rights movement and her completely thorough description of everyday life as a black family carving out a piece of happiness through those tumultuous times was simply astounding. The details she recalls paint a completely clear picture, I could see what she was describing and it was terrific, every stage of her life fascinating. She's completely amazing and I hope she writes more, I'll definitely read it. Two thumbs up!!!

There just isn't enough time for everything on our to-do list - and there never will be. Successful people don't try to do everything. They learn to focus on the most important tasks and make sure those get done. They eat their frogs. There's an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're done with the worst thing you'll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life.

There isn't a mystical magical secret in any "stop procrastinating" themed book of course. I'm smart enough to know to make lists and do the hard things first. I was looking for a well written, well read, motivating book to listen to that makes me want to get off my duff and quit procrastinating and this is an excellent book for that purpose! I don't think there can be too many books in a person's library that motivate them to push harder and smarter for success. I'll read all I can on the same subject until I get it, over and over again! Two thumbs up.

Most people think success comes from good luck or enormous talent, but many successful people achieve their accomplishments in a simpler way: through self-discipline. Brian Tracy knows this firsthand. He didn’t graduate from high school, and after working for a few years as a laborer, he realized he had limited skills and a limited future. But through the power of self-discipline, he changed his life.

Michelle, not Steve, Carver: I absolutely loved this book! I've probably listened to it to it 3 or 4 times already. It's very fast moving and the ideas are very well organized. I did not buy this book to find a never-before-heard of secret to self-discipline and so hearing familiar thoughts and ideas was in no way a disappointment to me. Rather I'd hoped to find motivational encouragement to put into practice those ideas I know to be true about achieving greatness in life and this book absolutely delivers! I'll definitely be listening to this book many more times. I honestly find myself already doing hard things that I would rather procrastinate and that is the motivation I hoped to find in this book. Two thumbs up!
