Jack Ryan, the former president of the United States, is out of office, but not out of the loop about his brainchild, the “Campus” - a highly effective, counter-terrorism organization that operates outside the Washington hierarchy. But what Ryan doesn’t know is that his son, Jack Ryan, Jr., has joined his cousins, Brian and Dominic Caruso, at the shadowy Campus. While a highly effective analyst, young Ryan hungers for the action of a field agent.

The book was an entertaining continuation of the series, but what stood out the most was the sexcellent narration of Lou Diamond Phillips! I plan on looking up how many other titles he performs! Clear speaking, great accents, appropriate levels of excitement for the scene being read and just overall superior reading!

The dark elves of Menzoberranzan, including the powerful Archmage Gromph, aren't done with Drizzt yet.

Great storytelling and excellent action scenes! I liked the complex development of relationships between all of my favorite characters from previous books in the series. If you are a follower of this series you will be very pleased with how good this one is. If you are new to this series, hold on, you are in for a ride.

In the evolving world of the Forgotten Realms setting, the Sundering has given way to months of cloud-cloaked darkness, and war rages under that oppressive sky. The orcs have broken a hard-fought treaty that's held, however tentatively, for a hundred years, and the time to settle old scores has devolved into an all-out brawl for control of the ancient realms of the North.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The narration is steady and clear. Few errors and good distinction between characters using different voices.

What did you like best about this story?

I feel that R A Salvatore has returned to the qualities that made this series one of my favorites. I wont be revealing any spoilers, but I can safely say this book is as good as ANY in the series before it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I regularly had to force myself to stop listening so i could get some sleep before work. It was excellent.
