Where did the universe come from? What was there before it? What will the future bring? And finally, why is there something rather than nothing? Krauss’ answers to these and other timeless questions, in a wildly popular lecture on YouTube, has attracted almost a million viewers. One of the few prominent scientists to have actively crossed the chasm between science and popular culture, Krauss reveals that modern science is indeed addressing the question of why there is something rather than nothing—with surprising and fascinating results.

Best communicator of our time. Higher level than most, but not confusing. Worth multiple listens.

Bob Johansson didn't believe in an afterlife, so waking up after being killed in a car accident was a shock. To add to the surprise, he is now a sentient computer and the controlling intelligence for a Von Neumann probe.

Hopefully you read your reviews because you are a legend. I've been waiting for your second book to come out for months and it was AWESOME. No spoilers for those who haven't read it, but damn. Nicely done. I think I finished listening to book 2 in about 2 days. Consider me a pre-order on book 3 as soon as I can. Cannot wait!

Robert: nicely done as well. Performance was A+. You make Dennis' characters come alive. ...but why the change in pronunciations of eridani? Just curious.

Anywho, you two rock and I'm eagerly anticipating book 3.

Almost everything about our day-to-day lives - and the broader scheme of human culture - can be found on the Internet. But what is it physically? And where is it really? Our mental map of the network is as blank as the map of the ocean that Columbus carried on his first Atlantic voyage. The Internet, its material nuts and bolts, is an unexplored territory. Until now. In Tubes, Andrew Blum goes inside the Internet's physical infrastructure and flips on the lights, revealing a fresh look at the online world we think we know.

What made the experience of listening to Tubes the most enjoyable?

Andrew Blum narrated it so the intended tone of the writing came through exceptionally well. His writing style is unexpectedly immersive, describing sights, sounds, and smells as only a true story teller could. Very well done.
