The rest remains a mystery. Gripping, yet ever elusive, join the real-life hunt for answers in the year’s first not-to-be-missed, true-crime series.

Something scary is happening to boys today. From kindergarten to college, they are less resilient and less ambitious than they were a mere 20 years ago. Fully one-third of men ages 22 to 34 are still living at home with their parents, about a 100 percent increase in the past 20 years. Boys nationwide are increasingly dropping out of school; fewer are going to college. Family physician and research psychologist Dr. Leonard Sax presents practical solutions.

While very happy with the performance of the narrator I was incredibly disappointed with the content of the book.

90% of the book is about the problem with very little time spent on the solutions.

Not worth the purchasing.

You've seen the headlines: Parmesan cheese made from sawdust. Lobster rolls containing no lobster at all. Extra-virgin olive oil that isn't. Fake foods are in our supermarkets, our restaurants, and our kitchen cabinets. Award-winning food journalist and travel writer Larry Olmsted exposes this pervasive and dangerous fraud perpetrated on unsuspecting Americans.

While I enjoyed the education about fake foods I was disappointed in how many foods were covered. I think he could have spent less time on each of the foods he covered and broadened the food selection.

The narration was enthusiastic. While I agree with other reviews that it was at times comical when the narrator put on one of his accents.

The book is definitely educational and I have recommended it to lots of friends already.

In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

She claims that she was an SWC child and remains an SWC today.

She states that she has a great relationship with her father and describes her relationship with her father when she was a child as pretty ideal in my book. She was never rude to her father but she was an SWC?

In a nutshell she suggests giving your SWC options, choices that will enable your SWC to feel in control. You must be willing to compromise with your SWC and be able to apologize to your child for your bad parenting.

She does advise you to seek professional help if you are having serious problems with your SWC. That's not worth the credit for this book.

Part epic of Texas, part classic coming-of-age story, part unflinching examination of the bloody price of power, The Son is a gripping and utterly transporting novel that maps the legacy of violence in the American west with rare emotional acuity, even as it presents an intimate portrait of one family across two centuries. Eli McCullough is just twelve-years-old when a marauding band of Comanche storm his Texas homestead and brutally murder his mother and sister, taking him as a captive.
