Five years later, tales of a Welsh warrior known as Blaidd Cryf, or Blayth the Strong, are making way to English ears along the Welsh Marches. A Welsh warrior who can somehow read the minds of the English armies is rising to power among the last princes of Wales. Rumors come from Wales that Blayth the Strong is none other than James de Wolfe.

I loved reading the book, but to me there is nothing like listening to the audiobook! I had no idea Brad Wills had such a beautiful, perfect voice. It was worth the purchase just to hear him sing the song written by Kathryn LeVeque. Kathryn's characters in her books always wiggle their way into my heart, but I must give major kudos to Brad for being able to hold it together for a stunning performance while I was sitting here crying my eyes out. That had to have been difficult. What a pro! Thanks to you both for a magnificent story and performance! It's always had to face time marching on, but y'all did it magnificently. 5 Stars to you both! This is a must listen to audiobook, trust me.

Valor and Vesper, are two really wonderful and endearing characters. I love the unexpected twists and turns in this plot, as well as the strong emotional connection between the lead characters. Kathryn Le Veque writes in such a way that you become immersed in her story and hate to see it end. If you are not familiar with Kathryn Le Veque's wonderful gift of writing and storytelling, you really need to check out her massive array of books from her Mystical Medieval world. Kathryn plunges you into another place and time, and never disappoints. If you haven't heard Brian J Gill narrate an audiobook, you have really missed out. He is a truly gifted narrator who employs his extensive language skills as a master storyteller to give a 5 star performance of the life and times of Valor, Vesper. His wonderful skill at varying his voice and dialect enable him to breath life into the characters and excite the reader. This audiobook is a pleasure to recommend.

Another awesome write from Suzan Tisdale! I admit, I cheated and listened to the audio version first because I love listening to Brad Wills narrate the stories. Brad always gives a 5 star performance and truly brings the characters to life. Rose is a little spitfire and Ian is the big, manly man, protector, and boss in training. This is the delightful book 1 of a new highland romance series that would be appropriate for anyone to read. (Which I personally appreciate) I listened straight through and am now about to begin book 2... more of the adventure.

This is a delightful novella and hopefully a prequel to more stories about the Forbes family and their history. As with all of Kathryn Le Veque's books, the characters are strongly developed and their personalities are such that it's easy to become emotionally invested in them and their outcome. This is the first time I believe that I've listened to Nick Cracknell as a narrator. I must say, I most definitely give him 5 stars for his wonderful performance in bringing the story and characters to life. I look forward to hearing more of his work. This is an awesome audiobook and easy to recommend, especially to any who are unsure if they will enjoy the audible experience.
