If you like stories where the girl just wants to be taken care of and to give up her whole life for a guy....then this one’s for you. It’s not for me.
Andi Arnt’s performance was not her best work. In a conversation between Kasey and her Mom you couldn’t tell who was talking because she voiced them exactly the same.
Jake’s trauma was completely over the top and the writing was peppered with tired cliches. Give this one a pass.

This was a delightful find. The narration was quiet and nuanced, a perfect match for the book. It’s rare to find a book about the teenage experience that is as thoughtful and well done as this. It tackles a heavy themes (self-identity, homophobia, coming out) without being a heavy listen. Definitely worth a listen.

I loved this book as a child and reread it many times. Listening again now as an adult I just can't get past how sexist, classist and weirdly religious it is. It's very much written by an upper class, white man of his times. The characters are crudely cast as either all good or all bad. I found the narration affected. I wish I hadn't bothered.

This is a fabulous audiobook. The dual narrators are both awesome and very much bring the parts to life. The story is about how hard it is to live together and make a relationship work and there are so few stories about that. It's realistic, sweet, hot and satisfying. It will definitely be a repeat listen.

While this audiobook has a promising start and interesting premise, the heat just did not last. I found the ending unsatisfying, and would have liked more action and less naval gazing from Tom.

I LOVED this listen - it's the best M/M romance yet. The two narrators both do an awesome job and I enjoyed having the story told from the two main characters points of view. The story is superbly crafted with just the right amount of backstory between the characters to drive up the tension. I came to love both Jamie and Wes, I loved the way they talked, their backgrounds rang true, and OMG the sex scenes are hot. My favorite M/M romance so far - I wish they could all be this good. I've listened to it _four_ times. I hope they record the sequel soon.

I'm really surprised this book ever got published. The plot is tedious and poorly constructed - nothing much happens for the first half of the book. The sex scenes are tepid and slightly cringeworthy and the main love interest is very unappealing. The narrator does a decent job but with such a poorly written novel to begin with..... I wish I had not invested so many hours of my life to listening to this.

This was a really fun listen. It's classic YA distopian fantasy, Elspeth is on a quest to save her band of talented Misfits. It has likeable characters, an absorbing plot and the author does a good job of the narration. This was a favorite book of mine as a teenager and I really enjoyed revisiting it as an audiobook.

This book was my favorite teenage reads, I'm so glad it is now an audiobook. The world it builds is imaginative and original and this book is only the first of a long series. The author performs this book and she does a good job. If you like mind powers and young woman's quest against persecution in a distopian future then you'll like this book.

Blue is a great character and this audiobook had great promise.... but it fell sadly flat and I just couldn't finish it. The plot was predictable and the characters reverted to stereotypes. The attempt to link this American set story to Welsh mythology was laughably stupid. The narration was okay, but not great. I was disappointed.
