Sinful, Louisiana, is always a hotbed of activity, and despite the steamy heat, August is no exception. Godzilla is terrorizing the town, looking for a home-cooked meal, and Gertie is worried someone will take the gator out before she can get him under control. Francine has a situation of her own at the café, where food is missing from inventory. And Celia is always up to no good. But summer is almost over, which could mean huge changes for Fortune Redding.

The Fortune Redding Series has been a delightful escape into Fiction. Although a little slow in the 1st chapter it returned to the upbeat amusing storyline.
I’m guessing this is the last in the series.
5⭐️ for every book
Fantastic listening !
Can see Jennifer Garnet as Fortune her side kicks Jennifer Saunders & Joanna Lumley

The story line continues to keep you guessing, & leaves you chuckling.
I find myself wanting this series of books to be adapted for tv. Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Saunders & Joanna Lumley, are my choices for the lead roles. Of course it will never happen with these 3 as role choices but these ladies are who I see in my mind as I listen to the story.
I look forward to the following book although feel sad as it will most likely be the final in the series.
Most enjoyable needs another ⭐️ option

Trouble always comes to those who court it. Rose Gardner's ability to see glimpses of the future has gotten her into hot water time and again, but so have her curiosity and her sense of daring. Those very qualities helped her defeat the most powerful man in Arkansas - a man so adept at hiding his crimes there was no way to defeat him inside of the law - but her success came at a steep personal price. Now she's throwing herself into her landscaping business, trying to live a life that's as orderly as one of her gardens.

Sure, there's been a murder or two that she's gotten mixed up in since she arrived in town, but she's hoping all of that is behind her.
