Ian was a idiot for most of the book. Sam was okay. The reappearance the big bad (after he was killed in each of the other books in the series was aggravating & the narrator's male voices were still crap.

It was hard finishing this mess. I' m basically reviewing the first 4 books with this one review. You can't put todays supposed values on ancient civilizations. This series is (The Great White Female Hope Come to Change the Barbarians). Nobody told any of them that when you enter somebody else's house (Time) you follow their rules. They got lucky somebody didn't kill one or all of them. These women are always yelling 'in my time' like they're to stupid to realize they're not in her time. Besides that they are the weakest, whiniest bunch I've seen in a while. Everybody they come up against is stronger than they are. It got ridiculous. And what's up with the (White Power) comments. The narrator's reading was good until she had to do the males, that was painful to listen to. Hope Sam 's book with Ian is better.

Emily & Luke. Could have been so much better. Luke's story was very interesting. The biggest detractor from the story was Emily. Emily is a 28 year old woman with a college degree who is so weak it's unbelievable. From her ex to her family to her job she let everybody run over her. Her constant whining about her treatment by the world made me want to shake her & tell her to grow a backbone. The helpless act was irritating. Emily was so weak she made Luke & his club look weak. The narrator was mostly boring, but, I can't blame her ,she didn't have much to work with.

This is the story of a cheating middle age couple, a ex & a young troubled (dumb) student. The husband should have been horse whipped, (HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH HIS 20 YEAR OLD STUDENT). The wife had every reason to walk before she began her affair with her ex or found out about the piece on the side. The scene with the mistress in the hospital was ridiculous, Only a man would think that the wife would hug & console the mistress after her husband has a heart attack while having sex with said mistress. & only a young dumb (girl) would have still been at the hospital when the wife arrived. The entire story was hard to stomach.

Cold have been perfect.

Maverick & Stephanie. Stupid moves by a stupid woman. Best example :A 5'3" woman, with only basic hand to hand skills ,getting out of the car to save the woman from two big men without a weapon, when she was sitting in the perfect weapon was a really dumb move. Up until that point It was almost believable. The FBI in this book was a piece of work. Leaving a agent that they had outed to be killed & burying a crooked agent as a hero was sick.

Loved it! Good from the first word to the last. This book is about two women who do what they have to do to take care of their families & themselves. One was betrayed by her husband (He was lucky she didn't go Betty Broderick on his behind ). The other was orphaned & betrayed by the system. To those who say " I would never" ,DON'T JUDGE!

The whole series was the stupidest thing I ever heard. I finished it because I always try to finish what I start & I was hoping it got better. It didn't. These were the worst outlaw bikers ever. They rolled in town to do a job but got sidetracked. The other side was even worse. The H was weak, the h even weaker. The h's family connections were pathetic. Neither the H or the main villain could shot straight. By the end I was sick of it.

Excellent!

Proof of Love was the perfect title for this piece. Constance was a good woman, She proved her love all through this short story by being there with her husband & by not ever slapping her daughter (as far as we know).

Hostages?

Okay let me get this straight, big bad bikers losing the war with the "evil" Mexicans so they go kidnap, enslave & probably rape at least one of the 2 daughters of a dead ex-cop who apparently stole money from them. Before that they make a man dig his own grave & then get in said grave & wait to be shot. Even though the "hero" was supposedly trying to save the sisters ,I don't see a love story here. I see bullying, intimidation, & a bunch of wimps trying to act tough. I wont finish this. Listening to women being called sluts, whores & c**ts by a bunch of bullies who can't handle their "evil" rivals & takes it out on the weak doesn't appeal to me.
