Twenty-three-year-old Taneisha Robins was a messy bitch and made no bones about it. In fact, she was damn proud of it. Starting rumors, yeah she did that. Five-finger discounts, yeah, she and her five-year-old daughter did that. Sleeping with friends and family's men, yep, that's her. Starting Facebook brawls? Hell yeah, why not? To fights and having her house shot up, yep been there done that. Did she give a rat's tiny balls? Nope!

I had to re-listen to this book a few times because there were numerous characters who's names would pop, and it was hard to remember who some of these people were. That is one reason why this book is in my so so category. This book is definitely filled with A LOT of messiness and drama. The performance was just ok though. I do believe it needs a little better editing because I definitely heard a lot of repeated sentences, but as you know I love Cee Scott voice. Overall this book is just ok. I do want to find out what happens next since I did find myself connecting to some of the characters, but I would pass on this one. You may find yourself a little lost from time to time. It is full of messy ratchetness though.

I never thought that this story would go in this direction. I am actually a lil upset that the book stopped here. I NEED TO KNOW MORE! DAMN DAMN DAMN The way all the characters are connected and the WOW factor that is revealed in this story makes this a page turner for real. This book is better than expected, and I still don't know what to think or know where to go for my answers. CMON book 4! The narration was just average. I need to get use to this new voice, but she did fine. This book will have saying to yourself OH WOW!

I am the biggest Cartel fan, but I am disappointed in this book. First of all the narration was good I do like his voice, but I wanted Cary Hite. His Aries voice sounded more hispanic than island girl. So I was a little disappointed in the narration just for this selection. He would be great narrating a EJD book. I am not really impressed with the direction of this book either. I am still trying to sort through the plot that was going on in the Illuminati I guess I really didn't understand what happened. I don't feel like this book really was about the Illuminati anyways, it was still focused on the life of the characters we learned to love and hate. I was looking for Baron Montegomery throughout the Illuminati scenes based on one of the other books, but he is no where to be found. I will be looking out for the Cartel 8 but I really wasn't impressed with this particular book. Go ahead and give it a read and catch up so that you will be ready for the Cartel 8 you will be surprised by who dies and the scene that led up to it. Just a 3 star read for me.

The end of the book will mess up your head. Oooooowwweeeeee SCANDULOUS! I don't even know what to say, but mama is a freak indeed. The title really sums it all up, so you already know who the pappy is. It's not as simple as the title suggests though. There are some crazy situations that happen in this story. The narration is on point, but you already know I like Cee Scott's voice. This book is worth a listen.

Ok so this book didn't grasp my attention all the way through because it seemed like the same things just kept on happening. I am trying to debate if I will even purchase the 3rd book because I gave book #1 and #2 a chance. Cee Scott of course did a great job narrating but the story was just too long for it to not really go anywhere. What it was full of was fights and murders. Wasn't too impressed with the direction of the story though.

This is actually a very interesting read. I like how the story flows from beginning to end. I like how the author connects all the characters and how it all comes together to reveal the GRANDE FINALE. I can actually see this actually happening to someone. The narrator was great, the plot was well written. This book will make your mind wonder. I gave this book a 4 star because I am critic and a book has to blow me away to get a full five star. This book was good though. Very unexpected.

This was a fair read. What I liked about this book was the character development. The author made me like characters, and hate others. The title of this book makes you think about all sorts of fuckery and that is exactly what happens in here. I think I may have been expecting more from this book though. I wasn't too impressed on the story development. The details were juicy and this book was drama filled, but I got lost somewhere. I will have to reread this book again to make sure I didn't miss anything. Of course the narrator was dabomb.

This must have been one of the most heart wrenching books that I ever listened too. The life of these youngsters I can't believe it. I was so sad throughout this whole book. The Salvation Song gave me hope. Bad times don't last forever or does it? This book opened up my eyes to how twisted the system is when it comes to protecting children from bad parents. Don't get me wrong this was a very well written book, but sadness was in my heart throughout the whole story. Cee Scott girl you did the damn thing again with your narration.

Where do they come up with these stories? So I liked this book because it was different. I read book 1 and would have to say the book 2 was the hot tea that answered all the questions you wanted to know. Cee Scott did a good job narrating, and the things that end up happening as the plots untwist will have your mind on overload. If you want a series that is a lil something different in urban fiction, this book is for you. The characters are well developed and the drama will keep you wanting to know what will happen next. I am liking Linette King's writing thus far.
