I was raised by the Devil himself and formed into a man who was unreachable. I went from the boy with bruises to the man with a trigger. Killing is the only thing that calms the itch. The demons inside were a constant battle, until she changed everything.

Listened in one afternoon and evening. Couldn't put it down. Interesting characters, unpredictable and viscous.

The way security was breached at the White was absurd. Completely lame on the authors part, I lost interest in the book at that point. I listen to 10 minutes or so of every second or third chapter and it seemed complete like I had read the whole book.

Johnson draws on his deep attachment to the American West to produce a literary mystery of stunning authenticity, full of memorable characters.

Guidall is once of the worst readers that could have been picked for Logmire. Guidall’s voice sounds 75 year’s old.

Londmire is a middle aged man and doesn’t deserve the raspy old voice of Guidall. It completed ruins the character Longmire and makes him sound like a feeble old man. I would have read the series had Logmire sounded like a competent man.

The 16th Parker novel, Butcher’s Moon, is more than twice as long most of the master heister’s adventures, and absolutely jammed with the action, violence, and nerve-jangling tension listeners have come to expect. Back in the corrupt town where he lost his money, and nearly his life, in Slayground, Parker assembles a stunning cast of characters from throughout his career for one gigantic, blowout job: starting - and finishing - a gang war. It feels like the Parker novel to end all Parker novels, and for nearly 25 years, that’s what it was.

Where does Butcher's Moon rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ties together a lot of issues from other Parker books
. And once again... nobody cheats Parker. Cold and calculating, if you like Parker, you will love this!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The suspense was palpable, what do you do against overwhelming odds?

Have you listened to any of Joe Barrett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I find his voice a bit indistinct at times.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just enjoyed another Richard Stark

Any additional comments?

Ranks among the top Parker novel for me.
