Over the last 15 years, Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, has experienced phenomenal growth. What began as a 100-member church meeting in a movie theater is now a major organization that attracts 15,000 worshippers every Sunday morning. In Rediscovering Church, senior pastor Bill Hybels and his wife Lynne tell the story of Willow Creek's beginnings, struggles, values, and philosophies, as well as the strategies that have made it a model for church growth. The Hybels offer a vision for what the church can be, focusing especially on community outreach and evangelism.

Through the hard times of building a church congregation, the Hybels still trusted God. This is a good book to read, if any pastors thinking of starting a new church.

In Frank Peretti's first nonfiction work, he examines the pain from his past and helps us uncover the scars in our own lives. Drawing from tragic news stories like Columbine, he illustrates how ridicule and rejection can push people beyond the brink. Then, with poignant insight, he shows us the way to heal the wounded spirit that lies within us all.

An excellent presentation for those who are the abuser and those who have been abused. I am going to present it to our adults and young kids who work with abused kids. One thing I would like to say, the bullies are not just the young people they are also adults.

I think Max did an awesome job on writing this book...the illustrations were great and simple to understand. Max has a soothing voice and easy to listen too. I listen to this in one sitting.
