I had to force myself to continue listening because I like the first in the series and wanted to listen to the third after this one. I really didn’t like the main character. She is supposed to be an adult but doesn’t act Ike one.

I stopped trying to follow the plot a little way in. I only finished it because I usually finish books I start.

I couldn’t finish this book because of the narrator. Her vocal fry is horrendous. At first I thought maybe she was a chain smoker but you mostly hear the gravelly voice on the last word of each sentence. I gave the book a four because even though I couldn’t finish it it seemed like it would have been good with a professional narrator.

I bought this book solely because it says they meet and she claims they never met before. I was very disappointed that that wasn't true because that would have made a good story. I did still like the book.

I enjoyed the main book but I couldn’t get into the short story at the end. It’s about a step brother and step sister falling in love. Ewww. They’ve been siblings since they were kids. And it is supposed to be about adults but they have the temperaments of petulant teenagers. I couldn’t finish it.

The author reads the book with such enthusiasm and energy I couldn't stop listening. If you liked North by Scott Jurek you will like this even more.

I did not buy this book to hear him go on and on about what a terrible writer he is and how he is so lazy he gets winded typing a sentence. Once or twice I could forgive but 40 minutes and 300 "jokes" later I gave up on this book. I promised myself I would try an hour of it but could not do it.
