Little did this future best-selling author know that the savage slayer she was hunting was the young man she counted among her closest friends. Everyone's picture of a natural winner, Ted Bundy was a bright, charming, and handsome man with a promising future as an attorney. But on January 24, 1989 Bundy was executed for the murders of three young women - and had confessed to taking the lives of at least thirty-five more women from coast to coast.

This was a really awesome true story. My mom is always telling me how she’s lucky because she used to run around as a young lass in Colorado ski resorts when Ted Bundy was out killing girls. I never really realized how crazy that was until listening to this book. I think the fact that the author was writing a book on the killings and then the killer ended up being someone she knew was just insane! How crazy is that! And I think it really added to the story - it wasn’t just facts, she lived it. I listened to the whole book in only a few days.

This is a really awesome book. I've never seen Silicon Valley but the title of this book really pulled me in - America is so many things to so many people and I really love to read/hear what it means to different people. I'm so glad I downloaded it because I think I stumbled on gold. Jimmy is a great narrator and his story is really interesting - he's done so much but also just followed his dreams which really is inspiring - and he's freaking hilarious. I found myself unable to stop the audiobook - I listened pretty much straight through. Everyone should listen to this!

The San Francisco Chronicle declared, "Yogananda presents a convincing case for yoga, and those who 'came to scoff' may remain 'to pray."
