Meg Murry, her little brother Charles Wallace, and their mother are having a midnight snack on a dark and stormy night when an unearthly stranger appears at their door. He claims to have been blown off course and goes on to tell them that there is such a thing as a "tesseract", which, if you didn't know, is a wrinkle in time. Meg's father had been experimenting with time travel when he suddenly disappeared. Will Meg, Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin outwit the forces of evil as they search through space for their father?

Excellent narration of this timeless classic. The story itself is a little too sci-fi for me, but having read other books by L’Engle, I appreciate how different it is from her other writing.

In 1918, Philadelphia was a city teeming with promise. Even as its young men went off to fight in the Great War, there were opportunities for a fresh start on its cobblestone streets. Into this bustling town came Pauline Bright and her husband, filled with hope that they could now give their three daughters - Evelyn, Maggie, and Willa - a chance at a better life. But just months after they arrive, the Spanish flu reaches the shores of America.

This is, by far, her best book yet. The depth at which the characters develop had me sobbing and rejoicing right along with them.

Move Your DNA explains the science behind our need for natural movement - right down to the cellular level. It examines the differences between the movements in a typical hunter-gatherer's life and the movements in our own. It shows the many problems with using exercise like movement vitamins instead of addressing the deeper issue of a poor movement diet.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. This book offers a mindset shift that can help anyone look at their health and "exercise" differently. Katy makes movement accessible and possible for everyone. Her biomechanist background gives her the knowledge that is needed to present the material, and yet she is still able to make it easy for anyone to understand it. And she makes it fun!

What other book might you compare Move Your DNA to and why?

I have never read a book like this before, which is why I recommend it highly.

What about Katy Bowman’s performance did you like?

I always like it when an author narrrates their own books. She is able to place emphasis where she wants it. Bonus- she is hilarious.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It blew my mind. It made me want to get up and move NOW.
